Chapter 1: "Whatever it takes" by Imagine Dragons

Izuku's POV

It was a normal day and I was getting ready to go to school except for one thing. I woke up late! And Aizawa was going to kill me if I was late to his class. So I booked it out of the house and started running to UA. On the way there I accidentally bumped into a little kid. I immediately apologized to the kid and asked if he was ok. He said he was ok but that he accidentally lost his control over his quirk and hit me with it. I didn't feel any different so I told the boy it was alright and started running again to school. I made it there five minutes late. 'Shoot Aizawa is going kill me now'.

I open the tall door of the classroom and walked in.

"Why are you late Midoryia?" Asked a stern and tired looking Aizawa.

"I woke up late today. I'm very sorry Aizawa and it will not happen again. I'm very very sorry." I apologized while bowing multiple times toward Aizawa.

"Fine just don't let it happen again." Aizawa said.

I quickly walked to my desk and sat down while Aizawa continued his lesson. I started wondering what the little boy's quirk was that I ran into this morning. But I didn't let it distract me from class.

(Time skip 10 minutes into class after Izuku got there) (izuku will also be called Deku or Midoryia from now on)

Nobody's POV

Deku started mumbling as he was getting more and more determined to be a great hero by Aizawa's lesson. He didn't realize that he was mumbling and kept on taking notes while his classmates started to hear his mumbling straight away.

"Falling... prepare for this..." Deku was mumbling.

His classmates noticed it was his normal muttering and went back to the lesson. All except one student. Katsuki Bakugou.

Bakugou was getting annoyed by Deku's mumbling and snapped at Deku.

"Hey nerd ur mumbling again!" Bakugou said loudly to Deku.

Deku looked at him but didn't stop mumbling and now his mumbling was becoming more clear and everybody could now understand what he was saying.

While this all was happening, Aizawa had turned around. Annoyed that his lesson was being interrupted but then saw Midoryia talking and not answering Bakugou but just kept talking.

"Whatever it takes. Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins. I do whatever it takes. Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains. Whatever it takes. You take me to the top I'm ready for whatever it takes. Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins. I do what it takes." Deku kept rambling on while using his hands to try and shut his mouth to silence himself.

Everyone could hear what he was saying and wondered why he wasn't apologizing to Bakugou or saying anything to Bakugou. Deku was just struggling to try and stop talking.

"Whatever it takes... I'll do what it takes..." and with that, Deku's mumbling stopped.

The whole class looked at him like 'what the hell was that'.

"Umm Midoryia are you alright?" Asked Aizawa looking at him concerned as to why the problem child had a sudden outburst of words and it seemed as though the boy couldn't stop the words from coming out of his mouth.

Deku started to say that he was alright but was interrupted by a certain someone...

"ARE YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME DEKU! YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST IGNORE ME LIKE IM NOT HERE WHILE YOU RAMBLE OFF NONSENSE AND GET AWAY WITH IT YOU NERD?!" Bakugou yelled.

'Why can't I control my words? Why is Bakugou being so mean to me? What did I ever do to him?! Why can't he just leave me alone?! I don't even know what's happening to me for crying out loud!' Deku thought.
