I feel like this could've been better

••• •••

Zayn would never take you to one of his business meetings. He had sworn to himself to keep you safe no matter what. But when he receives the call he has been waiting for for days he's in the car with you, on his way to a fancy dinner.

The fancy dinner he wanted to take you to as an apology because recently he hasnt had spend almost no time with you. Being a well known mafia boss certainly comes with a whole lot of responsibility. You knew well what he did and that he couldn't just take a day off like a normal office job could. You weren't angry or upset with him, honestly you were glad he was still in one piece every time you saw him.

It was an important information trade and Zayn had to do it himself there was no way to push this to a later time or date it had to be done now. He sighed. Roger was also well know for being impatient so he wouldn't even have enough time to take you back home.

Harry's POV

"Babe I know I promised you this dinner and we will go to this dinner, but..."

"Business call, I know." I said cutting him off

"I don't think it'll take long, I promise to be quick okay? You just have to sit in this nice bulletproof car and don't do anything stupid. And for the love of god don't get out of the car whatever happens, got that?"

"Yes Zayn, I got it. And don't get any blood stains on your suit or we'll have to get back home to get changed afterwards."

He gave me a quick but loving kiss before he got out of the car. We're in an empty car park with only a few other cars parked around. Zayn had a briefcase in his hand, standing there just in the middle of the parking lot when 3 other black cars pulled up. I watched them discussing something heatedly and wished the other members were there too.

I had only looked away for a few seconds to check the time on my phone when I turned back to see a gun pressed to Zayn's temple, his gaze completely unfazed. They knew I was in this car, the windows are tinted but I'm 100% sure they know. Suddenly my phone begins to ring as I look at the display.

"H-hello?"

"Listen. We all know you are in this car, tinted windows can't fool us and neither can your lovely boyfriends lies. You either get out right now or you can say bye-bye to him."

I began shaking, tears building up in my eyes. Zayn has told me so many times if a situation like this occurs I need to listen to his instructions and in this case I know I shouldn't get out of the car.

But I couldn't let him just get shot, I know and he also knows that. When I opened the door to get out he desperately tried to tell me to get back into the car, to turn around, to run, but a filthy hand was pressed against his mouth making it impossible to form words.

I walked closer, tears running down my cheeks, towards Zayn, when I hear two safety catches being released with a clicking noise. One gun is still pressed against Zayn's head, one is pointing at me from a few meters away.

"Any last words?"

Before I can say anything I can hear a muffled gun shot and before I even realise what happened. Zayn is grabbing my hand, running with me back to the car, slamming the door shut and instructing the driver with the destination.

When I look back I could see several bodies and a black car drifting away with squeaking tires. Zayn looks like a mixture of relieved and really really angry. He picks out his phone and calls several members. Turns out the others had definitely smuggled a tracker in my purse.
