Life was a bitter sweet journey for Sarrinah Shams always. If she had some disoriented sketches in her canvas of life so were some flawlessly painted. Isn't it strange? Once, we percieve a vision in certain notion and then, colour the spectrum of the world in that specific perception. Be it rainbows and butterflies or black and white thunderstorms. Contemplations led to a strange message in both of these metaphors. Rainows, no matter how beautiful they are, had to vanish after a limited time so as every ascent of human being in this crumbling world. Thunderstorms, no matter how dark and lasting they seem, always have silver linings even when there's no hope of light across the sky.
Life works this way. We, from inside are wonderfully woven with the laws of nature that are witnessed outside.
Perceptions make the difference. Contemplations make it understood. The moment, when he confessed, his eyes were a combination of fear and lucidity. There was a tinge of unfamiliar impressions in them, she felt, but this wasn't the thing that hit her. What had hit her was his translucency... He could be a mixture of every emotion but wasn't ambiguous, when looking in her eyes. He didn't, even for once, stumbled upon what he said. He was clear. Might be the only decision in his life that he was sure of. She felt it or he seemed that way, really? This wasn't the same as Hakan Zuraiz that she had met months ago.
Sarrinah inhaled deep in between the thick air of silence, after his confession, where looks were exchanged only. She stared the black velvet box and then picked it up softly. The diamond was striking its shine in the glint of her eyes. She closed the tiny box and gestured back to him.
