➸ shadows

I sit obediently in my class, listening to the teacher drag on

About something uninteresting

My attention span is gone

Until I catch something in the corner of my vision

A line shadow, standing on the other side of the room, something only my nightmares could envision

It somehow stared at me, no face to read anything I might be thinking

What does it want with me?

It soon after dissipated, sinking to the floor

The feeling of something watching me not disappearing from my core

I came to realize though, that I was beneath my two feet

Mimicking my own movements, it's own will obsolete

For that's what shadows do

The follow their owner around

Revealing the inner darkness inside of you
