As his warm hands rested on my belly I felt an overwhelming feeling of happiness, like this was the right place for me to be. I slowly turned to face him as I reached my hands to his shoulders. His eyes were so blue I could get lost in them. "Are you sure this is a good idea" he asked wearily.
"Theres nothing I want more than you". As his soft lips touched mine I could feel the sparks, almost as if fireworks were exploding behind us. "This is what it's supposed to feel like" I said to myself as he placed one warm hand on my check, the other slipped to my waist.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Quickly, we pulled apart and I covered my bump while he asked who it was.
"Oh, hope I didn't interrupt anything" Ryland exclaimed as he started to back out of the doorway.
"No no no" I quickly stated back.
"Well, we're starting our meeting in five if you wanna come down now?"
"Umm... we'll be there in a sec"
As Ryland closed the door I couldn't help thinking whether he knew. Could he sense that I was pregnant? Or that I had just kissed Nick!? "All this worrying about whether they know is taking a toll on you, and the baby. Maybe it's best if you just told them, that way the secret won't get out".
"You're probably right" I said as he smiled at me "I'm just scared at what they'll say, what if they hate Thomas because of what he did?"
"Mia, you don't need to worry! That family downstairs love you, they just want you to be happy and they are going to be so excited, trust me".
