CHAPTER SEVEN
Bianca's POV
Cole had just taken his drugs and we were both sitting on his bed with our legs crossed and well, you could say that boredom was in the air and I really thought I was going to pass out from it. I stood up and walked over to his bookshelf looking through the novels he had.
"What are you up to?". Cole's husky voice uttered right in my ear. Out of shock I flinched backwards falling into his chest while my glasses made contact with the floor.
"W-why the hell did you do that?". I sputtered still trying to control my rapid heartbeat. And picking up my glasses. After inspecting it for cracks and there were none I put them back on.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you". He whispered into my ear, his hot breath fanning my cheek and it was then I noticed that I was between him and his bookshelf with him being directly at my back.
Maybe this is what Claire meant when she said 'if he does anything stupid'.
I quickly but gently pushed him away from me while he stumbled back a few feet not expecting it. I took that as my queue and went back to sit on his bed.
"I'm soooo bored". He exclaimed acting as if nothing happened while I desperately tried to hide my flustered face from his view.
"If you're bored then find something to do". I replied now that the blood had left my cheeks and heartbeat was back to normal.
"Okayy...". He took a seat beside me on his bed. "Let's play twenty questions".
"Fine but you go first".
"Okay well I've been wanting to ask you this since you got here...have we met. It feels like I've seen you before." He asked as he scratched his chin. Probably wondering where he had seen me before but I didn't remember ever meeting him before.
"Nope I don't think we've met." I answered. "My turn...Why do people say you're a hand full?".
"Well I guess it's because I don't listen to orders or obey rules". He answered offhandedly.
"Stick around enough and you might find". He added.
"I don't want to drive you away just yet". He muttered under his breath with a distant look in eyes. He obviously expected me not to hear him but I did and I was going to do him a favor and pretend like I didn't hear anything.
For the next 45 minutes or so we stepped away from the heavy stuff asking each other basic things. I had found out that his favorite colors to wear were green and blue so apparently they were his favorite colors.
Unlike me, Cole was being home schooled or hospital school I guess.
His mom provided teachers to take him on core subjects like Math, English, Psychology and Chemistry while he studied all other subjects on his own and was a straight A student.
He had a thing for art and was apparently, an amazing painter and his sketches looked like masterpieces. We were currently on that while I impatiently sat on Cole's bed shaking in anticipation to see his paintings.
Cole went behind his bed taking out some paintings and when he laid them out in front of me I was at a loss for words.
The first one was a painting of a man sitting on a windowsill staring out the window with his back to me. I could see his full set of black hair and the bulging muscles of his back relaxed. The painting was heavenly.
The next one was the picture of the same man still with his backside captured but this time he was leaning against a railing as the sun set.
The next was the painting of what I could make out to be the same man but in this one he had his front to me dressed in a black v-neck shirt. It was more of a portrait and the man was what could only be described as beautiful, the smile he wore reached his eyes and I could clearly see the smile lines and a dimple in his left cheek, the small and well-kept stubble that decorated his jaw, the wrinkles around his eyes because he was smiling so hard, his jawline was sharp, his nose straight and thin and his cheekbones were high and very prominent, I couldn't take my eyes of his full set of pearly whites with slighty elongated and more prominent canines but the most captivating thing about the man was his forest green eyes that looked exactly like Cole's. His, shone with so much love and happiness and I could tell just by this painting that this man is a wonderful person.
