Denial

Bev was shocked she really was. She always thought that Eddie loved Jennifer, his girlfriend.
How was she meant to keep this from Richie when he loved Eddie so much.
She had to tell someone, but she didn't know who.

The next day in school.
"Hey Bev, you ok you have been actin kinda odd??" Asked Richie. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine, its nothing" she replied. "Ok" said Richie but he didn't really believe her.
"Hey Richie, can we talk??" Asked Eddie after school. "Sorry Eds, I can't I gotta meet up with Andrew and he hates when I'm late, you can talk to me tomorrow" Richie said.
"I can't believe him, why is he hanging out with a 7 year old like what the fuck" Eddie said under his breath.
"Did you say something Eddie??" Asked Bev. "No" Eddie said far too quickly and stormed off.
"Eddie you can talk to me" Bev said going after him. "There's nothing to talk about Beverly" replied Eddie.
"Yes, there is, you aren't in love with the person you're dating, you're in love with Eddie" said Beverly. "Seriously Bev, I don't know what you're talking about" said Eddie getting into his car.
"Eddie..." she said. "Bev I'm in love with Jennifer, now if you don't I'm going home" remarked Eddie.
Eddie started driving home.
"I know you're lying to me Eddie Kaspbrak" she shouted after him.
She stormed home.

When Richie met up with Andrew they played in the arcade.
After about half an hour, Richies phone started ringing he checked to see who was calling it was Eddie. "Who is it??" Asked Andrew. "Just Eddie I'll call him back" replied Richie putting his phone away.

Eddie tried calling Richie other times but it just went to voicemail.
"Hes a piece of shit" Eddie muttered.
"All he does is hang out with Andrew, Andrew this Andrew that" Eddie muttered angrily.
"He doesn't even have time for his bestfriend anymore. It was suprising how quickly Eddies mood changed he went from being really angry to sad in about a minute he just sat there on his bed for half an hour.
"Eddie bear, Richies here" he heard his mom call from downstairs.
What was Richie doing here.
He ran down the stairs.
"Hey Rich, whats up" said Eddie. "Can we talk??" Asked Richie. "Yeah sure" replied Eddie. Like in private" said Richie. "Oh ok, lets go for a walk then" said Eddie.
