“It was a night like all others when a woman gave birth to a baby girl. That baby was me, and I was named Reyla. But, as a baby my mother realized that I was different, and my family resented the things that were different,” Reyla said. “If you don’t want to, you don’t have to tell me your past,” Darci said. “No, it’s fine. I want to tell you.” Reyla said. “Are you sure,”  “yes, so let’s continue,” Reyla said. “So, my mother decided to leave me in a forest alone. This forest to be exact. Then, on the night of the full moon, I shifted for the first time. And, the being that I had shifted into was a silver fox. I thought of myself as a monster. But as the years went by with many more full moons, I began to embrace it. Finally, I was free to be myself. But, with the feeling of freedom came loneliness. I then made an unlikely friend, a blond blue-eyed hybrid, named Wes. Wes was half-human and half-wizard. I thought that he was my friend until I caught him killing a water nymph, who are harmless creatures. When I confronted him, he just laughed in my face and told me that,” he wasn’t going to kill me, but trap me and all other creatures were going to be  hunted by him.” But, before he could trap me I ran away. Then, two months later on a full moon, Wes found me as I was shifting. He used his magic to trap me inside a crystal. The last thing that I remember was darkness, then being set free and seeing you, Darci.” Reyla said as she told her past.

When Reyla finished her story, Darci was in tears. And she said,” Reyla, maybe now you don’t have to be alone anymore?” “Sure, if you’ll have me, '' Reyla said. Darci smiled back at Reyla,” I would like that very much.” Darci said. “But, I was also wondering if you could help me learn to control my powers?” Darci asked. “Sure,” Reyla said. “When do we begin?” Darci asked. “Now,” Reyla said before she began Darci’s training. “What do you need me to do?” Darci asked. They meditated and trained for a while, but each time Dari let her emotions get the better of her. “You have to control yourself, or something bad will happen to the ones close to you,” Reyla said. Darci began to think of her brothers. “Okay,” Darci sadly said. “Start over from the beginning,” Reyla demanded. Darci sighed in frustration. “Fine,” Darci stated.
