~Hiyori~
"Come on," said Blue Yato, helping me up. "Just hang on a bit longer, Hiyori..." He said and he helped me teleport. We arrived to Tenjin-sama's temple in a blink of an eye. My eyes scanned the crowd of familiar faces. Bishamon and Kazuma were there near each other as a pair, Kofuku and Daikoku talking to each other with unpleasant expression. And oh....All of the other Yatos swarmed Tenjin-sama while Yukine stood there watching every single Yato, except for Blue here beside me, to fidget and panic in front of Tenjin-sama.
"Ah, Hiyori-chan!" He called, waving his folded paper fan in the air. The Yatos make way for him to pass and reach me. "I heard about your situation...and I must say, this is just a shock to me. You've become a god!" He smiled. "Congratulations, Hiyori-chan!"
"A..hehe...Ah!" I exclaimed, remembering my purpose to why I am here. "Tenjin-sama, have you seen a parrot. This big?" I gestured a size with my hands from my neck bone to the top of my head. Maybe he could recognize it.
"My, that's a big parrot well....uhm--" He paused. "Parrot....parrot....Ah yes! I know she is you're regalia! Kotori!" He called. Then the sky suddenly darkened.
"Who the hell turned the light off?!?!" Red Yato asked, very stressed and pissed off to the happenings right now. All looked up, staring at the one big thing we've been looking for.
"K-Kotori?!" I exclaimed with a questionable look. I-It's huge! She's huge!! Her wings are approximately the size of Kuruha, Bishamon-san's other Regalia. The lion. Yes, it's that big. All of their jaws dropped, except for Tenjin.
"That's her?!" I stood there in awe of such a large regalia. "H-How did you know about her??" I asked.
"Well, he's the one who came to me and complaining."
"What do you mean?" I asked again, but at the look on his face, it seems as if he doesn't want to discuss it in front of everyone. I covered his moth with his fan and looked both ways, hesitating for a bit.
"Uh...Hiyori-chan, would you please come with me in private?" He asked. I was going to reply with a short and simple 'okay' but all of the Yato(s) covered my way with their arms.
"No way!" Exclaimed Red Yato. Then it hit me, 'red'
"Ah!" I exclaimed and every Yato turned to my attention. "I'm going to call you Aka-chi!" I smiled and suddenly he fell instantly down with a blushing face. "W-what happened?!?" I asked all of them as the Yato(s) rushed to his aid.
"It seems as if the name you gave him made him too happy." Tenjin-sama replied as he silently gestured his hand telling me to come inside his temple. Walking forward, I looked left to where all of the Yato's tried to wake Aka-chi up, but failed. Then Blue Yato had his eyes fixed on me and his mouth moved to the words: Be careful.
I nodded and went in the temple. Where it had this old style of decoration, wood darkened from time, smell of antique things. He stopped and so did I."Well, Hiyori, if you don't take care of your regalia's, you'll get stung. Like you are now."
"I'm--Sorry," I apologized and paused as I felt the pain starting to rise up in me again.
"Ah, Here." He handed me a bottle with one small pink ball inside of it. "What is this?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Those are peach pills, medicine from the gods. It can heal any illness, even blithe. Now swallow it and you'll be fine." He smiled.
"I did what he said and the pain slowly disappeared, my face glowed with happiness! "It worked!" I squealed. He nodded in reply.
"Now, I have to tell you, you have to bring Kotori back with you, but you have to be careful. She grew a grudge towards you for leaving her."
"But--But I didn't know she was a regalia!"
"Yes, I know, but now you have to win her trust back. It's painful to let go of a regalia, even if you just knew about her now. She told me everything. A week passed before you knew about it, today. For the passed days---well, I shouldn't be explaining it to you, I suppose you know what she's been through."
"What do you mean? I haven't sensed her presence at all at the passed days." Tenjin paused and quickly threw a kitchen knife at me, but intentionally hit my right cheek. He raised his pointer finger and a drop of my blood floated a bit wobbly and dropped down the floor.
"Whaa--!??"
"Hiyori-chan!! You're....you're...is this even possible??" His eyes widened and jaw dropped. "You havent' sensed her for the passed days, you say?"
"What has gotten into you? Wha...."
"I apologize for my rash actions, but I had to immedietly conclude my suspicion..." He exclaimed to me, he folded his fan, making way for me to see how serious he face was.
"Let's go outside, Hiyori-chan." I followed even when I had no clue what was happening. Once we were outside he gestured Bishamon, Kofuku and All of the Yatos that carried Aka-chi above their heads. They leaned towards him, in a whisper. I looked at Daikoku and Kazuma, and all three of us exchanged worried looks on our faces. I gave them a questioning look, as if to ask: What the hell is happening?
Daikoku made a face dismaying what happened, obviously no clue. I turned to Kazuma and he shrugged and darted his attention to the unhearable conversation of the gods.
Yukine walked towards me and just stood there beside me. I guess he's as frustrated as I am. It's kinda calming for him to just stand beside me, words don't usually calm people down.
"Thanks Yukine." I whispered.
"No problem, Just relax. I bet everything will be fine. Yato's not smart, but he's not stupid either."
I giggled. "Yeah, I know--" I stopped and quickly turned to the god's huddle because....
"WHAT?!?!?" All of the Yatos exclaimed in surprised and in unison. Bishamon, then, one by one hit all of their head and placed her finger on her mouth, coming along with the soft sound of 'Shhh' It was kinda obvious, but I wonder why Kazuma and Daikoku never noiticed it. Not even Yukine?
Kofuku walked towards me and looked at me, like she was about to give the worse news I'd ever hear. She looked at Yukine as if to say: Go over there for a while. He instantly understood it and left to Yato's side, asking him a bunch of questions that they couldn't answer to him.
"Look, Hiyori-chan.....you're half god. Half human." She whispered.
"What does that mean...? Am I going to be alright with this?" She shook her head in reply and with that, I felt like tons of worried fell down my shoulders.
"That means....you only have 50% to live as a human, or a 50% chance of being a full fledged god, but you'll die and get reborn, the, YOU, Hiyori will disappear and get be born anew...There is a choice but..." I covered my hands, gasped and took a step back.
"And that's not all." Bishamon stepped in the conversation. It kinda makes me feel a bit okay since it's all girls I'm talking to. "The worst part is....You're not the one who's going to decide. It all depends of what happens to Yato...but for now. Stay calm and take care of your shinki. Remember, you're a half breed. You're powers aren't as powerful as a god like us. So the god's most hidden secret....She might find out...."
"Who..?" I looked left and saw Kotori. I gasped and felt even more desperate to get out of this situation. I don't even think I can process this very much.....what do I even do about this...?
