45: Looking For You

*Kevin Wendell Crumb/Beast X Casey Cooke. ( After the events of 'Glass' Casey finds out they're still alive and has escaped the hospital )

Casey hadn't heard about the Horde or Kevin for awhile and wasn't sure how to feel about it, she turned on the Tv after doing the chores and the news was on, they were talking about how The Horde had managed to escape this hospital they were being kept in. After the news was finished Casey decided to pack a bag and go out looking for him.

She was out for hours looking in abandoned buildings and everywhere and anywhere, she finally gets tired and sits down on a park bench to rest.

A few minutes later she hears a bloodcurdling scream and loud animal like roar coming from the distance before everything went quiet again.

She gets up and runs towards what way the sound came.

The Beast growled as he carried the girl away taking her to a shelter.

Casey turns a corner and spots him a few yards away "Kevin!" she yells.

He paused at the sound of her voice turning to face her. She comes running towards him "Kevin!" she cries out.

The Beast growls defensively.

She finally gets in front of him "It's me Casey..the one you let go" she breathes.

He backed away warily like he was afraid she'd hurt him.

"I won't hurt you..I just wanted you to know that I won't leave you ever again and I'm here for you"

He breathed heavily looking around like he was afraid there would be other people nearby.

"It's just me, I promise, I came looking for you as soon as I found out you were alive"

He approached her cautiously growling still.

She puts her hands out, showing him she didn't have a weapon.

He came into the light and the reason for why he didn't want to come near her was revealed, he had a deep gash on the side of his body which looked infected and was obviously quite painful.

"Oh my.. let me help you, come with me?" she takes his hand and leads him back to her place, where she gets the med kit and goes to work on his wound, cleaning it up.

Despite the fact that it was still The Beast in the light he still growled and squirmed as she tried to help him.

"Okay I got the infection cleared out and got the wound cleaned, now for the switches"

He growled and retreated away from her as soon as he saw the needle glaring at it.

"Oh please, your scared of a tiny needle, the big bad beast?"

He roared at her in protest "They used them on us in there" he snarled.

"Well this one's to help you and Kevin heal, I doubt you want Kevin getting his wound infected again now do you?" she raises a brow.

He huffed at her loudly before settling down again so she could continue.

She carefully switches the wound and wipes it off with a wipe to clean it and she bandages him up. "Alright done.." she sighs.

He relaxed a little after she was done, his breathing going back to normal.

"Here take this pain pill" she hands it to him and glass of water.

He took it and gulped down all the water before curling up on the sofa feeling exhausted, he stared at Casey as he settled down.
