The Letter - Wolfstar

A/N: Remus and Sirius are already dating

I was sitting in the Great Hall having a great time with James, and Remus. Peter was still sleeping, like most weekends. We were still laughing at our most recent prank on the Slytherins. There was a loud noise as all the owls started swooping into the large room. I wasn't expecting anything so I kept eating. That's when my owl, Mercury, landed right in front of me, on my plate.

"Hey girl" I whispered while stroking her feathers.

When I first got her, she was named Freddy, until Remus informed me that she was in fact a girl, so I had to change it. I grabbed the letter from her leg, and saw who it was from, my smile faltered, but only for a second. I slipped it into my robe pocket, I would open it later. I already knew I needed to be alone to do it.

I looked up, and neither Remus or James noticed the letter. So I continued petting Mercury until she picked at a piece of my toast and flew away. James looked up "You got a letter"

"Nah, ya know her, she just wanted attention, and my food" I replied.

James nodded, but Remus looked at me skeptically. We held eye contact for a second more and I dropped my head back down to my plate.

Later That Day

Classes were over so I ran up to my dormitory and jumped onto my bed. (when i say jumped I mean he like backflipped and landed on his back all smooth) then I accidentally rolled off the other side. I landed on my back and then crawled back up on the bed. I pulled the curtains closed and threw up some silencing charms. The letter was sitting on my bed, and all I could do was stare at it.

I finally reached for it, and carefully tear the seal. I take a couple deep breaths and unfold the note inside. Then I flip it around and start to read.

Dear Sirius,
This is the last letter you will ever receive from us. Your father and I have been talking and decided that after everything we did for you, and how you repaid us that it was time. You have officially been disowned. On the back of this is all the official documents. Oh there's also a picture for you.

I couldn't breathe, I hated my family, and I'm glad I'm not a part of it anymore, but oh God. What do I do now, I have nowhere to go, term is almost over, and I have nothing anymore. I shook the envelope and the picture fell out.

Wow they had already burned me off the tree. I was fine, I really wasn't, but I had to be. I sat in bed until I heard the door open. It was James calling me to come for dinner. He must have seen that my curtains were closed and assumed that I was asleep. I just stayed in bed, I couldn't move. I finally found my will to live, and got up to go downstairs, dinner would be over by now.

I put up my mask of happiness and bounded down the stairs. The common room was full, and I scanned around the room until my eyes landed on my beautiful man. "Moooooooooonnnnyyyyyy" I say as I skip over to him.

He was in a chair right in front of the fire, reading a book. There was about an inch of space left in the chair, so I squeeze myself into it. He looked down at me and then adjusted to be more comfortable and kept on reading. After just sitting there for a couple of minutes, he closed his book, set it down, and wrapped his arms around me.

I snuggled into his chest and put my head in the crook of his neck. He kissed my forehead and then whispered. "So what was that letter that you got this morning."

I froze "Wh-"

"Don't, I saw you slip it into your pocket, just tell me, it'll be ok."

"It was from them." I choked out "Um just can we go upstairs, you can read it and just let's go upstairs."

We stood up and he took my hand. I was only slightly freaking out, Remus could probably help, and make me feel better, but what if he looks down at me for this, what if he sees me differently.

Remus opened the door, and led me to my bed. He sat down and pulled me next to him. I pick up the letter from my bed and hand it to him. I couldn't look at him while he reads it, so I stare at my hands that are fidgeting in my lap. He sets it down and pulls me into his lap. "Siri," he pauses "We'll figure this out, I promise."

I start crying then, I couldn't hold it in any longer. He leans back and just holds me whispering sweet nothings in my ear.

"I love you ok Pads, we'll get through it, I love you"

"Forever?" I question

"Forever."

What's up my dudes, I finally get to go to school tomorrow so whoop whoop. I literally just wrote this because I may have forgotten that I had to write it. (Thanks to @hannahabott12 for reminding me.)
