"Lisa, you're the most rational person I know. If I was the one trying to put my life on hold for some guy, that would've been understandable. But you! You're-

"Love makes a person irrational. There's nothing weird about that. Just because I've never been serious for any guy before in my life does not mean I'm incapable of falling in love and act like...like this!" Sorn sighed and rubbed her temples.

"You." She pointed to me. "Need to get your priorities straight." She stood up from her seat and I thought that that's the end of our conversation.

"But you're my best friend and I know you. I can tell that you're serious about this. I'll support on your decision if you rethink of that plan of yours." She gave me a lopsided grin and I instantly got up from my seat and hugged my best friend.

Things are starting to look up now that I have one supporter.

So maybe I'm still stuck in the mud and things are not looking up after all. I still failed in coming up with a foolproof plan of meeting Jungkook. That was until I got back from class and saw Sorn already at home, can barely contain her excitement.

"I've got a plan! This maybe your only chance to meet Jungkook and be close to him." Her face was turning with excitement and she kept doing this little jumps.

She thrust a newspaper cutting at me and pointed to a picture of a middle aged man giving a speech at some function.

"They said they're scouting! They're looking for a new look for the band!" I still fail to grasp what her idea was until I get to properly read the article.

"Oh my God, it's going to be like in the mangas I read and that Korean drama I watched! Like in Coffee Prince!" Sorn babbled excitedly.

BigHit Entertaiment, the agency BTS belong to is looking for a new member for the boy band. They were hosting auditions around Japan but they cannot find a suitable candidate. So now they moved to Southeast Asia.

The requirements are that one must sing and dance. Which I can't do neither. And there's the high risk of failing. The ratio in Thailand alone is expected to be 2000 to 1.

And lastly...I'm not a guy.

The odds are so against me that I was so sure to fail.

"You're kind of quiet. Why? Was it too much for you?"

I let the obstacles that I have to face ran through my mind again and closed my eyes. When I opened them, I can see Sorn's expectant face.

"I told you I was ready to take desperate measures. Sorn, help me turn into an idol material!"

Later that day, I already bought a couple of men magazines as references. Sorn had spent the whole day online to get all the latest news about the band, the agency and the audition details.

That night we went through everything that can help me prepare for the audition. We sat at our small dinner table with men magazines and online print outs strewn all over the table.

"So the audition is in four weeks from now and it is at Sheraton Hotel at 10 am." Sorn went through the details with me and we went through the night discussing on how to man me up.

"Do you prefer to cut your hair or wear a wig?" Sorn asked.

"Cut." I simply said. I really don't care about my shoulder length hair that I've been keeping for three years now. I was fingering some strands when Sorn mentioned about how most Korean idols have these bright hair and fashionable hairstyles.

"Maybe you should dye it blonde..." Sorn pointed to a picture of some idol that she had printed out.

We discussed and discussed into the night and the next day I woke up with a stiff neck. It seemed that we both fell asleep at the dinner table. I can hear Sorn's light snore and I gathered the magazines and printouts that were all over the table. While organizing them, I caught my reflection in the mirror and looked at it.

I have long dark brown hair that reached my shoulders and I am considered tall for an Asian girl. I have a slim build, nothing too interesting. Although I'm quite shapely around the hip area. I should wear baggy pants then, just to hide them.

"You should do something about the boobs." Sorn who must've caught me staring into the mirror gave a sleepy comment.

I looked down at the mounds at my chest. They're not big but they're big enough to be noticed. I cringed at the image of flatting them tape.

Still checking myself out, I shared some of my concerns to Sorn.

"I can't sing and dance. And those two played a huge role in the auditions."

"Sing me something." Sorn mumbled.

And I sang Sandi Thom's I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair. After finishing the chorus of the song, I saw Sorn pursed her lips, an expression of deep thought on her face.

"So what do you think?" I asked.

"It was...alright. Not great but...alright."

"Uh okay..." I sighed. I was really worried about the singing and dancing. Making me look like a guy seemed like child's play compared to this. I might fool them with my appearance but these people are professionals when it comes to talent.

"Don't worry Lisa. Most of the time, it was...bearable." Sorn gave me a cheeky grin and I grinned back.

"What do you mean by that?!" I started poking her sides, knowing that it's her sensitive spot.

"N-no..no! Stop it! Ahahahahahaha!" I chased her around the flat and soon enough, both of us collapsed on the floor in our living room.

"Don't worry Lisa. I know someone who can teach you about some vocal stuff. And a lot of DDR will improve your dancing." Sorn smiled, assuring me.

I stretched and sighed. Nobody said it was going to be easy but knowing that I have my best friend by my side, makes it all seemed...achievable.

Jeon Jungkook, you will be mine.
