As you turned the corner in one of the corridors, you saw your boyfriend, Seamus Finnegan, snogging Pansy Parkinson.

"S-Seamus?" you said quietly. His head turned around quickly and faced you.

"Y/n, I-" he began to explain himself but you cut him off.

"Just forget it" you said as you threw the promise ring he gave you back at him.

"Y/n, please stay" he begged. You looked over at Pansy who had an evil smirk on her pug-like face. Seamus began to walk towards you but you turned around and ran. Tears welded in your eyes as you sped down the corridors, ignoring Seamus's pleas. You couldn't believe you had caught him with that filthy rat again. You continued to run until you could no longer hear Seamus behind you.

Your running quickly came to a halt when you collided with someone in yellow robes. You looked up and saw Cedric's kind face as he held you in his arms.

"What's wrong, Y/n?" he asked as he looked into your tear filled eyes.

"Seamus" you managed to choke up.

"What'd he do?" he asked with a look of rage on his face.

"P-Pansy" you muttered as tears began to build up in your eyes once again. You couldn't keep it in any longer, the tears burst out of your eyes and the two of you sat on the ground together. Cedric held your head in his arms as he wiped the tears off of your cheek with his thumb.

"Let it all out, I'm here for you" he said with the sweetest look on his face. You slowly got up and sat on his lap with your chin on his shoulder. You sobbed and hugged him tighter.

"I'm so sorry, lovey" Cedric said as he rubbed your back. You stayed in this position for about five minutes before you pulled away to look him in the eyes. You noticed that they were aching for love and affection.

You looked away and turned your attention towards his messy hair. You began to run your fingers through his light brown waves, you always did this when the two of you spent time together.

"I love you," he said suddenly.

"What?" you said surprisingly.

"I love you, I always have," he said as he looked into your eyes "it broke my heart when you and Seamus got together, seeing him treat you so horribly made it worse." You were shocked to say the least but were relieved to hear that he shared the same feelings as you did.

"If you give me a chance, I promise I will treat you better than anyone ever could" he said as he held my hands in his. Butterflies crept into my stomach when I felt his touch, something I never felt with Seamus.

"I'm willing to give that chance," you replied back to him. He smiled and brought you both to your feet. He gave you the biggest hug and pulled away to look in your eyes once again.

He pulled you close and took your lips into a slow and gentle kiss. Your heart melted into the kiss as you felt long lost love travel between you two.

After your kiss, you and Cedric walked to the Great Hall, hand in hand. Seamus saw the two of you and glared which you gladly returned. Life was getting better with Cedric, he loved you and you loved him. You couldn't imagine anything better.
