🖤 1. Break Up 🖤

Third POV-
Percy Jackson was in a good mood today. Tomorrow was his Birthday. He was going to celebrate it with his best friends and loving girlfriend. He sat in his cabin on his bed happily thinking tomorrow's events, not knowing that they'll be ruined.

A knock on his cabin door brought him out of his daydreams of blue cookies and cakes.

"Come in" his voice called out.

He smiled as his girlfriend, Annabeth Chase, stepped inside the threshold. " What are you doing here, I thought you would be on Olympus?", Joyed to see her, Percy asked.

" I wanted to talk to you", she said seriously.

" What happened, are there monsters, new prophecy?", Frowning he stood up from where he was sitting on the chair.

" No to both. I wanted to talk to you about the job I'd applied for 3 months ago. I got it.", Annabeth told him, her lips curving into a half smile, directed at her concerned boyfriend.

" That's great.", Percy said, relieved, that he didn't have to kill anymore monsters till he went to his mom's house to help her with her pregnancy, and happy that Annabeth got the job that she'd been trying for about months now.

" As you know, the job I'd applied to enabled me to move from one place to another and see the world and it's architecture for more ideas. Which is the first reason why I wanted it. And I wanted to ask if you'd come with me? We could see to new places and new cultures. Have a break from this life.", Annabeth pleaded hopefully. 

" Annabeth, I can't leave New York, you know that. Mom is pregnant, I can't just leave her, I was going to go home day after tomorrow to help her and Paul. And I promised Chiron that I'd teach sword fighting at both the camps." Percy exclaimed, his mind thinking why would Annabeth suggest to go with her when she knew the work he had here.

" Percy, can't you just come with me, this is my dream job. I've wanted this chance all my life. And you know that long distance relationships don't work.", Annabeth said, as her eyes slightly watered at the thought of breaking up with him.

" So this is it? After all we've been through? You just go and accept this job and don't even think about me, the obligations I have here.",
Percy said, his voice thick from emotions.

" I......I.... thought you would come with me." She said her voice shaking.

Tears running down his face, he said " Say it! You say it! It's your job. I am not coming with you. You... say the words."

Crying as she said " Percy, I am breaking up with you". Her voice shook and she stood crying, not knowing what to do.

Suddenly he said" Get out". Crying he stood up and opened the door for her, waiting for her to go. When she didn't move from where she was standing he yelled " GET OUT".
Jumping at the sudden shout, she ran out of the door, towards the Athena cabin.

A/N

Hey this is edited. I love Percabeth and I didn't want to make Annabeth cheat, so this happened.

I'll try to edit the next chapter today.
