The ringtone on my phone suddenly ringing. I was sleeping as my phone vibrating besides me, it wakes me up and i reached for my phone. Looking at the time with my half-opened eyes.

It passed midnight already.. Who's calling on this hour?

I just about to check the phone log when my phone rings once again. On the display, the name of the caller was displayed.

Jinnie is calling you

I'm hesitating if i'm going to answer or not but i finally decided to picked up the phone "hello? Jinnie, why are you calling this late?" I asked him.

"Minnie..i'm in front of your house right now, can you come out for a bit?"

I rubbed my eyes, switching into sitting position "right now..?"

"Yeah.. Can you?"

His voice sounds a bit trembling as he spoke. Something must be happen..

"I'm going out now" without hanging up the phone, i rushes down with my sleepy face and messy hair.

I open the front door and finds Hyunjin was standing in front of the fence, sitting on his harley davidson, wearing a leather jacket and black t-shirt and jeans. He seemed just went back from somewhere.

I walked a bit closer and finds out that his face looked stressed, his eyes are swollen as if he had been crying, and his hair is messy. He was looking down all the time before he realized that i was standing infront of him already. He immediately pulled me into a hug.

"Uh..J-jinnie?"

My heart is pounding fast as if it's going to burst. Red flush appears on my cheeks. Hyunjin pulling back before i get to hug him back.

"I'm sorry..you must be surprised..haha" Hyunjin sadly chuckles, he let me go and lightly rubbed his eyes on his sleeves "sorry that i woke you up in this hour.. I just want to see you.." he says.

"Thats okay.. But it's rare for you for wanting to see me in this hour..and, where have you been? You just went home ? It's almost morning already, Jinnie.."

"I..." Hyunjin doesn't continue his words. His expression suddenly turned sorrow and his eyes are filled with tears.

"Jinnie..."

Hyunjin pulls my hands, and he pulls me in a hug again. He sighed deeply, squeezing my body between his arms. I wrapped his arms around him, rubbing his back. And few seconds later, i can hear sobbing voices came from the latter.

"It's Jessica, minnie... Jessi..ca.." He said in between his tears. His shoulders are shaking as he holds his tears, but then he let out a loud cry as he hugging me tighter.

"She cheated on me! I saw her alone with Minho inside a karaoke room and they kissed! They f*ckin kiss, Seungmin! And it turned out that they have been in relationship for a month, and they secretly dating behind my back! I can't believe this! I gave her all she wanted! I always gave in everytime she got mad at me! I did my best to make her happy and this is what i got??!"

Oh God..

I rubbed Hyunjin's back slowly as i hugging him tight. Hyunjin cries his tears out, and those warm tears are dripping on my shoulder. He must be feeling hurt like hell.. I knew how much Hyunjin loved Jessica, how he sacrifies his time and his love for his girlfriend, and she just cheated on him like this.

I can figure this out since their first month of being couple. Jessica is a fashionable girl with lots of friends, and i heard the rumor of she being a 'playgirl' because of her reputation. I never want to judge her, but i saw her several times before, being alone with other guys, hugging and such.. But i never able to tell Hyunjin because he definitely will believe his girlfriend more than me. Jessica always starts the fight and i only saw Hyunjin smiling at him, gave in to every arguments they had and at the end, Jessica always won the fight. Jessica always orders Hyunjin around too. From the small thing such as the way he dressed. As long as i know Hyunjin, he always loved to wear hoodies and casual jeans , but Jessica often criticized his way of dressing so that Hyunjin always dressed like a bad boy now, with leather jacket and ripped jeans, he even colored his black hair into light brown, he had a tattoo on his neck, he wear earings.. All because he want to make his girlfriend proud of him..

"What shall i do, minnie.. I loved her.. So much.." He sobbed as he gripped on my shirt. I let him be, and tried to comfort him by rubbing his back continously.

"I knew... Hyunjin.." I smile bitterly, letting him cry as much as he want.

Hyunjin might look like a tough guy outside, but inside.. He was just a soft and innocent kid. He was like a piece of glass. Although he strengthen himself every single day, but once it fall, it'll shattered into pieces. He was so precious that i never thought that someone would be that mean to hurt him.

After several minutes of crying, Hyunjin slowly pulled his face away from me. He looked like a mess, his eyes are swollen and red, the trace of drying tears are all over his face.

"I..i must be looked like a fool right now.. hahaha.." Hyunjin wipes his own tears "you must be thinking that i'm a coward, i..show you my weak side, again.."

I shakes my head as i cupped his cheeks, making us facing each other.

"I'll let you know something.. When a man is crying, it's not because he's weak.. But it shows how strong he was" i said. Gosh..suddenly i'm talking like a philosophical.

Hyunjin sniffs, his eyes glisten as he looked at me, not saying anything. His eyes and face are turning red because of all his crying , but he still managed to look handsome.

"Really?" He asked and i nodded my head in response. I ruffles his hair lightly, fixing his messy bangs at least to make him look a bit better.

"Minnie.."

Hyunjin took my hands and gripped them tightly.

"Thank you.. I mean- you always understand me, you always be the one who make me feels better when i'm feeling down ..you never left me even in my worst state.. You're the best..best friend i ever had in my life"

I smiles a bit on his words. It's flattering, yet..it's hurting at the same time.

🎶 can't you see that i'm the one who understand you? Been here all along so why can't you see..?
