As the bright lemon sun rose upon the land, the cotton candy trees bristled as the powdered sugar clouds wandered in the sky. Walking on the peppermint sidewalk there was a boy who had pink, blue, and white hair that faded together. He had hot-pink eyes, a little heart underneath his left eyes and bandages on the right side of his cheek that made an “X” he wore a blue choker with a cross pendant, a ripped pink tank top, an oversized sweater that he wore which had different sleeve length and sewing designs, blue jean shorts, two different lengthed socks both stripped. All alone in the street, the boy sniffed the sugar filled air exhaling while the soft breeze hit him. “Candy” a soft voice called out.

The boy turned behind him to see none other than his childhood friend, Ichigo. Strawberry was the strong silent type unless he needed to talk. Strawberry had white and red hair that faded down, his wavy bangs covered his eyes which made it impossible to know if he was looking at you or not. Ichigo wore a sleeveless crop top hoodie that had frilly designs at the hems, there was a little pocket on his chest that had a “X” on it, a shirt underneath his hoodie with a design of a japanese military school uniform, as fro his arms he wore a baggy zipper-design slip on sleeve and, to go with the design, the hem had a zig-zag pattern, he wore a ring on both of his hands, both, on the middle of his finger, baggy jean shorts that had a blue he,, attached to the hem was a frilly belt, and boots below his knees to complete the “aesthetic shy” look.

“Good morning, Ichigo.” Candy turned around and greeted him.

Ichigo toppled along next to Candy, “you seem a little tired today, did you get enough sleep?”

Candy chuckled and scratched his neck, “Guess I'm not good at hiding things, huh?”

“You gotta get your sleep, Candy, otherwise how will you be able to do any of your school work?”

“Yeah, I know, I know” He patted his back

“At this rate i’m afraid that you’ll be relying on me for the rest of your life!”

In 1st grade Elementary, that's the first time I met him. Ichigo was somewhat like me, not social. Often in Elementary he would color with his crayons on a table while I would sit in the corner and hug my knees as I waited for the day to end. I didn’t have the best life in elementary school, in fact I don’t remember. But it was when he came to the corner, my corner, and asked if I could draw with him, that's where it started I believe.

“Your name is… Candy, right?” Little Ichigo sat down next Little Candy.

I was caught off guard, I didn't really socialize much, in fact I still have a little problem with it now. “Huh?”

“Can you draw?” Little Ichigo pulled out a new pair of crayons, “My Mama just bought these yesterday, don’t they look cool?”

Little Candy looked to the ground tightening his grip on his knees, “I-I-I c-can’t draw.” he muttered.

Little Ichigo scooted closer to Little Candy and placed pieces of paper in front of him along with crayons, “It’s ok, I can teach you!” he smiled. Little Candy looked up at Little Ichigo with a little spark in his eyes.

Ichigo has changed his looks since Elementary, I’m not quite sure why, though, it could just be a change of life thing. We both are now in Highschool, freshman year. It's a bit nerve wracking to know that 600 other students go to Castella High.

“Y… and… Candy?” Ichigo waved his hand in front of his childhood friend, “Candy?” Candy flinched, “A-ah, yes?!”

“We’re in the same class”

“We are?” Candy said shockingly, “But how do you know?”

“I have the pamphlet in my hand.” Ichigo waved the pamphlet in his face, “didn’t you read the pamphlet when you got home?”
