Zara's p.o.v
Soon half of my family were at the apartment door including my mother unfortunately. Joe came in after he with Ruby in his hands, they're both working out a fair custody for her. But if my mother even thinks she'll take full custody she is going to wish she never gave birth to me.
Okay calm down hormones.
So sat facing me in the living room was, Patricia, David, Kevin, Penney, My mom, Joe and Ruby, Max and Ryan.
"Okay so your pregnant." Patricia said calmly. We nodded our heads thinking that this conversation is going to go by okay without any arguments until an enraged Patricia stood up at the top of the room near the tv. "Are you out of your FRICKING minds!?" She shouted making me and patrick jump.
"Tough crowd." Joe mumbled earning a scowl off of Patricia.
"A baby is not something that you can take an interest in for a little while and then toss it aside." Patricia said in her calm but angry voice. Alfie hid under my legs.
"I know that!" I shouted back, I don't know if it were hormones or this baby business is pissing me off Patricia will not take me as the person she thinks I am.
'Toss it to the side,'
"What do you think I am?" I asked looking at her, she stood there speechless. "A baby is not a fashion trend, I know that. But if you really knew you'd know i never follow fashion trends." i sassed making David say a little 'ooh'.
"I know that a baby is for life." I smile nervously at Patricia and that's when the sympathetic look came on her face.
"Honey, you two aren't married though." she says more calmly taking my hand.
"I know that but it's not the nineteen fiftys, a nun is not going come over and take my baby away from me because I'm not married, that is illegal now." I said this time I'm the one pacing up and down the living room.
"But you know now, you may have to give up the career that you want now, you can't risk things now, this time you have to think twice because there's someone else your responsible for. There's a smaller person in there who needs you to lead them through life." Patricia said giving me them loving eyes. "And love, Lots of it.. you have to be there everytime they fall, their tooth falls out, fight off the monsters in their nightmares, and just be there for them every step of the way, are you ready for that?"
"Yes, yes we're ready." Patrick said standing up. He walked over beside me.
"But it's not like I can turn back now."
"There is possible solutions," Patricia said. She is not going to say it. "There's adoption, There's foster care, or there is always their grandparents." Patricia spoke.
No, no. I won't give up my child. That's my child not theirs.
"No. I won't give up our baby!" I shouted, Patricia rolled her eyes.
"Look Zara, Your not ready for this." she said.
"How do you know that?! I am ready! I am ready for a kid and so is patrick!"
"No, your not. You can't be sweetheart your only nineteen and Patrick's turning twenty soon, I'm not comfortable with Patrick having kids just yet. I don't know about Julia, But Julia do you think she's ready?" Patricia said looking over to my mom who was nervously sitting at the edge of the couch looking nervously at Alfie who is growling slightly at her.
Good Boy Alfie.
"Honestly?" She says standing up and walking over to us by passing a growling Alfie. "No I don't think you are."
