"Follow me!" Grover shouted.

"We can't just leave Percy here! He could get hurt!" Abigail yelled back in protest.

"Trust me, Percy's more then capable of taking care of Orthrus. Believe me, if I, his best friend - no offense guys - believe he'll be fine, then he probably will be. Now follow me!" Grover said. I remember Percy saying that he has known Grover for six years. As much as I hated to admit it, Grover and Percy were much closer then all of us. If he believes in Percy, then we should too. He knew him the best after all.

"Okay, let's follow Grover," I sighed.

"And just leave Percy to the demon dog? As if!" Theo said.

"Guys, I really think we should trust Grover. He does know Percy the best after all," I said.

"Thank you, Willow," Grover said. He began to run towards the beautiful Athena Parthenos, and I followed after. I looked behind me to see that Theo and Abigail were reluctantly following. Unfortunately, so was Caily. I must say, I felt horrible leaving Percy behind, but Grover said he could take care of himself, and I trusted him.

"Come on, guys! Faster!" Grover said.

"Oh, you want faster?" Abigail growled. She adjusted her stance, then leaped forward, sprinting about just as quick as Barry Allen, and easily passed us all up.

"Show off!" Theo yelled after her, proceeding to speed up a bit. Biting my lip, I looked back at Percy. He was currently in the middle of sliding into Orthrus's legs, and slicing his leg as he did. I guess Grover was right. He really did seem to be doing just fine.

"Willow, you're slowing down! And I sense more monsters! We need to move!" Grover shouted, snapping me back to reality. I looked down and realized that I really was slowing down. I blinked, then picked up speed, running past Caily who was hardly running and I had somehow managed to end up behind.

"The stupid dog isn't anywhere near us! Why do we have to keep running?" Caily whined.

"Did you not just hear Grover says he smells more monsters?! I'm not sure how that's possible, but do you want to die, Caily?" I snapped.

"Hmph," She pouted. God, she has the mind of a two year old in a Barbie's body.

A few moments later, we finally reached the top of the hill. Everyone ran past the tree, Grover urging me to do the same, but I stopped to look behind me at Percy. Stupid to stop when I was so close? Definitely. But I needed to know.

Orthrus was gone, simply replaced by a pile of golden dust, but there seemed to be a new foe. Four figures were all standing in front of Percy. They seemed to be females, but it was hard to be sure. Most likely, judging by their clothes and... chest areas. They all had completely white skin, one bronze leg and one donkey leg, and her their hair was replaced burning flames.

They were clearly monsters, but Percy didn't seem to be doing anything to attack. He just stood their seemingly frozen in place, kind of in awe I suppose. What worried me the most was how his sword wasn't in his hands, but laying in the grass at his feet. That wasn't good at all.

"Grover," I said. When that didn't get his attention, I said it even louder, "Grover!"

Grover flinched, straightening up. "What?" He asked, not in annoyance, but with genuine concern.

"It's Percy!" I said. "I know you said he can handle himself, and he definitely could with Orthrus, but I think he might be in trouble."

Grover's eyes widened and he ran up to me. He frowned as soon as he saw what I saw. "I knew I smelled more monsters!" Grover said. "Those are Empousai! They have the power of charmspeak and, uh, seduction. Especially towards men and whoever is attracted to females, like if you're lesbian or bi or something. We need to get him out of there."

"But don't you classify as 'man' too? Wouldn't you be in danger?" I asked, concerned.

"Satyr... man... there's a difference. Maybe. I don't know. But I need to go help Percy!" Grover said. He was about to take off down the hill, but I grabbed onto his arm.

"Grover, you were the one telling us not to be rash! Now I'm telling you. Don't go down there, or else bad things can and will happen!" I said in a warning voice.

"Well if I don't save him, who will?" Grover said.

"I will," I said, not a trace of hesitation in my words. Percy was our friend, and he'd never hesitate to put himself on the line for us. He showed that with Orthrus.

"And me!" Theo and Abigail said at the same time.

"Uh, Theo? You definitely classify as 'man,'" I blinked.

"Pfft, I'm a master at blocking teachers out in class, it'll be a piece of cake with these ugly bitches," Theo shrugged.

"You sure about that?" Abigail raised her eyebrow.

"Guys, have you met me? And how do you even know they'll use their powers on me?" Theo crossed his arms.

"Just... Whatever! Every second we sit and argue, Percy is put into more danger! We need to go. Theo, you really shouldn't come, but if you want to, no one is stopping you, I guess. It'd be best to stay back! Now let's move!" I said, spinning around and beginning to sprint off down the hill.

I knew that Abigail and stupid Theo were following, but without even looking, I knew Caily wasn't putting herself at risk by coming with as well. I think Grover was the single smart one out of all of us who actually stayed behind since he didn't want the power used on him. He actually used his brain, unlike a certain boy I know (Hint: his name begins with T and ends with heo).

Let's do this.
