"What's going on over here?" Harry asked. We were walking down the school halls, when Harry noticed a large group of people crowding a board.
I shrugged. "It's probably nothing. Maybe just some inappropriate pictures or something."
"Let's check it out!" He dragged me over to the board. I tried to protest, but he was much stronger than me.
"What's going on?" Harry poked someone.
"They put the call-back list up for the play." The kid said. "My girl's up there right now. She wants to be one of the fairies."
"Oh, this is my girlfriend. Olive, this is Devon." Harry introduced me. "He's on the team with me."
"Oh." I shook Devon's hand. "Who's your girlfriend?"
On cue, a short, dark haired girl jumped into Devon's arms. "I did it! I'm Fauna!" She was squealing. My ears started to ring.
"Guys, this is Jade." Devon said. "Babe, this is Harry and Olive."
"Olive Lancaster?" Jade asked me.
"Yes..." I answered hesitantly.
"Oh my gosh! You're Aurora! We're going to be in the play!" She grabbed my hands and started jumping up and down.
"She's a keeper." Harry laughed.
"We can do our lines together!" Jade stopped jumping. "We can do them while we watch Devon and Harry practice basketball! What do you think, bae?" She turned to her boyfriend.
"Bae?" I mouthed to Harry. Harry was grinning and he mouthed the word. Then winked at me. We tried hard not to laugh. I desperately wanted to tell her not to say "Bae" or even use it on the internet.
"That sounds fine. What do you think, Styles?" Devon asked Harry.
Harry shrugged, "I wouldn't mind by bae watching me run around the court."
I blushed and gave him a look. Jade didn't realize he was making fun of her. I almost slapped him.
"Great! This will be super, duper fun!" Jade squealed again. "Tell you what, Olive." She grabbed my hands again. "I will personally grab your lines from the director and we can go over them this afternoon during basketball practice."
"Um...Thank you." I pulled my hands away.
Jade clapped her hands. "I'm so excited! Ok, we have to go Devy." She grabbed Devon's hand. "Bye bye!" She seemingly skipped away with her boyfriend tailing behind her.
Harry and I immediately started laughing. "Oh my gosh." I mustered. "Devon has his hands full."
"She has a lot of energy." Harry agreed. "How does she have all that energy? Do you have that much?"
"I haven't had that much since I was six." I looked back one more time.
"But, hey!" Harry spun me around and made me look at him. "You got the part of Aurora!"
"Oh yeah. She did say that. Didn't she?" I remembered. "She just sucked all of my life out of me." I laughed a little.
"Im so proud of you." He pulled me into a hug. I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply.
The same teacher that split us up in the cafeteria, split us up in that moment. He sawed us away from each other with a ruler. He glared at us then walked away.
"That teacher does not like us." Harry shook his head.
"No he does not." I agreed. The bell rang and we headed to our classes. We sat in our desks in the back of the room. I pulled out my text book and set it on my desk. I went back into my backpack for my notebook, and when I went to place it on my desk, my textbook was gone.
