In this world, there are those who are normal, simple,

Human.

And in this world, there are those who are unusual, different,

Animals.

Genji was one of them.

A dragon, a human...

He was both.
His whole family was...

Genji used to think it was a curse. But no.
It was amazing.

Being a dragon hybrid was amazing.

Genji had learnt how to control his form. But obviously, not as well as his brother could. Hanzo, was his name.
Hanzo was always better.

Genji would still stutter from time to time, if he was scared...if he was sad...or if he was just exhausted and tired.

It was like an escape mechanism, almost.

Genji knew people wanted to kill him, father had taught him well.

Humans would fear them, try and hunt them down...

So Genji never showed himself.

To his friends,he was just a plain old human.

To the thugs in the alley...
He was a terrifying beast.

Genji's natural complexion blinded those who were more simple to what he really was. And he preferred it to stay that way. So when he finally left Japan, he carried no guilt along with him, only the aspirations to start his life again.

"Sir, sir! I swear I saw it!" A little boy cried, running to his master and into the tool shop.

"Saw what?" An old man replied.

"A dragon man sir, a green beast!"

"What?!"

"Yes, I saw it with my own eyes! It lives in the forest! I swear I saw it sir!"

"Are you sure junior?"

"Y-yes! I'm not lying!"

"Well what are you waiting for boy!? Alert that hunter guy, he's still in town right?"

"Yes sir! Right away sir!" The boy yelled, running into the street again to fetch the town's beast hunter.

Jesse McCree.

Peace, that was the thing Jesse kept in this town.
Peace between people....
And monsters.

He was quite inexperienced at dragon hunting, but he had killed one before. He was a sharp shooter, with a quick aim and even quicker reflexes. Today, the peace he kept got shattered.

"M-McCree, Jesse M-McCree." A boy, shouting his name, he wondered what was going on.

"What is it lil' pipsqueak?"

"A d-d-dragon, I saw him on the west side o-of the forest."

The child was panicked, causing a slight unease over Jesse. "Take me to where you saw it. I'll take care of it."

Genji was living in what seemed to be an abandoned building, but the overall shelter it provided was good.

Fire. Fire wasn't a problem, in just a few hours it seemed he'd made quite a cosy home. He curled up on top of a tatty looking rug and sighed, feeling the nice heat of the fire surround him.

It was kind, homely.

It wasn't a while until Genji was awoken by a noise, a harsh crunch of leaves and the pitter patter of footsteps. Genji's ears pricked up at the sound.
