Chapter Four; Part Two; "Are you serious?"
I was the last to step into the store. I was chattering my teeth from the cold breeze that came from the store. "Where is the caviar?" Pearl asked while combing through her long blonde hair. She then put a clip in her hair and turned to look at Zamir who was watching their feet while they walked. "This isn't really a caviar place." Malachi said and we all laughed with him a bit. A little pitter patter of feet came from the back of the store near the dairy section. I turn my head to the back sections, I see nothing and think nothing of it. "Cannibals?" Zamir said to me sarcastically while grinning. I showed a smile but I was kinda concerned. I had forgotten about the whole cannibal thing. It's kinda unbelievable to think about, then again its literally happening right in front of me. "Food." Malachi said running into the aisle in front of us, I grinned and ran after him, I grabbed the bookbag I had on and emptied my school supplies on the floor to make room for food and others. I crammed as much food into my bag as possible. I looked at Malachi, eating a bag of popcorn puffs. I reached out my hand to him, he places a handful of puffs in my hand. I smiled and shoved them in my mouth. I never noticed how hungry I was untill then. "Guys!" I heard from Pearl in the aisle over. I jogged after the sound and stopped when I saw Pear holding kitchen knives. Zamir rushed over after me and had their mouth full of some sort of candy. Zamir gulped and said "What?" With a straight look on their face. "Well, we need weapons for the.... cannibals, right?" Pearl said. "Pearl.... that is the smartest thing that has ever came out of your mouth." Zamir said and rushed over to take one. Pearl grinned and held out her hands. Zamir took a Holographic oil-spil type knife. Malachi walked around the corner, I assumed he heard everything from the other aisle. He walked over in front of me and grabbed a kitchen knife it had a gripper on it. Pearl sat the collection on the shelf. I walked over and grabbed the curvy knife, it looked pretty sharp. Pearl grabbed a knife, she searched through her bag and pulled out stickers, she then placed a couple on her knife. "So, were prepared?" Malachi said leaning on the shelf.
"Not even close." I said, smiling.
