Grace smiled as she sat in her classroom and smiled as she looked to see her boyfriend Tom clarkson walked in. She looked to him and smiled

"so I dropped Mia off at nursery, she is insist of wanting to see the fireworks tonight?" He said as grace looked to him and sighed

"did you actually promise a one and a half year old that she could go to the fireworks Tom?" Grace asked as Tom looked to her and smiled

"she loves them and I know you worry but I want to make her happy, I am going in for the op soon and grantly is my mate and I want to do all that i can to help him. That means going through with the transplant and I know that you aren't exactly happy with it but it will be okay, I am trying to do the right thing. I am, once this is all over and i am better we can try for another baby" Tom said as he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close and kissed her

"I'll hold you to that" she said as he looked to her and smirked

"there's new deputy and if you ask me he is a stuck up jerk" Tom said as grace looked to him and rolled her eyes

"Tom, be nice. It's not his fault he's the last in and made to be the black sheep. Talk to him, you'll be working with him besides you might like him" grace said as he looked to her and smiled

Grace walked into the staffroom and smiled as she held Mia. She had took her out of the crèche for a few hours as she was being fussy. Grace saw Simon and smiled

"you must be the new deputy, I'm grace Boston. It's nice to meet you" grace said as Simon looked to her and smiled

"I'm Simon lowsley, I think your the only one who has said more than two words to me" Simon said as grace placed Mia on to the ground as she toddled over to Simon

"and who's this?" Simon asked as he bend dow n to Mia level. Grace smiled

"that's Mia, she's been difficult the day as she wants to see the fireworks her daddy promised her. She's mine and toms daughter"

"she's beautiful" Simon said as grace smiled as she looked to him

"give this place a chance, I know everyone seems off with you, were a tight bunch and it takes us a while to let new ones in but we aren't a bad bunch" grace said as Simon looked to her and smiled

"I can see that" he said as he looked to her and smiled

Grace stood on the school yard as she waited for the fireworks. She held Mia in her arms and smiled as she stood next to Nikki

"hand her here, you look tired" Nikki sid as grace looked to her mum and smiled as she handed Mia to her. Mia rested her head into Nikki as grace looked to her and smiled as she brushed her hair out of her face

"she's tired, I think I'll head home either her soon" grace said. Grace frowned as she glanced up the taproot snd saw Kyle stack on the roof.

She felt her blood run cold as she saw Tom and saw them as they stood talking. It all went so quick.

Grace watched as Tom went to help Kyle only to slip and fall. She screamed as he fell to the roof. She could hear Mia crying for Tom as she saw what happens as grace ran over to him.

She looked to him and smiled as she lifted her head onto her lap "it's okay" Tom said

"don't say that, you are going to be okay"

"no Gracie, I'm not I love you, I love our girl. Look after her and tell her I love her. I'm sorry" he said as his eyes closed shut

"Tom..Tom wake up" she said as she felt the tears rolling own her eyes. She felt her heart break

"daddy" Mia yelled as she ran over. Grace looked to her and frowned as she stood up and grabbed her as Mia struggled wanting t get to Tom

"daddy" she sobbed as grace held her closer

"daddy's gone baby" grace said knowing that nothing would he the same again without him
