Mobile Task Force Alpha-15 "Revenants"

02 First Contact

The Ghosts held their position. The creature slowly started to move closer allowing them to see it better, it was humanoid and colored a dark grey, at closer inspection it appeared to be charred and melted skin, the creatures eyes burned a dark orange. It suddenly sprinted forward, charging at the nearest Ghost squadron member which was Private Gregor. The team opened fired on the entity but were not fast enough, it slashed Private Gregor right through the armored vest knocking him down.  The creature let out a loud hiss as it started after the next member. Bullets seemed to do little to its flesh. Private Alec fired a few P-90 sub machine gun bullets into its head which quickly dropped it. The team moved over the Gregor, who was now screaming and crying on the ground. Corporal Dunn flipped him over and his eyes widened. The entities claws had essentially melted through his armor and now his skin was being burned away. Private Gregor screamed for help and pleaded as the hot substance melted his chest and continued to spread. "Shit, what do we do?" Yelled Private Alex. "Nothing we can do." Corporal Dunn called back. Sergeant Matthews and Captain Allen watched the crazy sight. "Terminate him, quickly." Captain Allen said. Corporal Dunn then fired a few rounds of a small arm into his head making sure it would be quick. "Mission to control, over? We have a KIA. Private Gregor was attacked by some kind of molten undead entity. The entity was put down quickly, do you want us to continue, over?." Captain Allen said into his radio. The now four man team simply stood, waiting for instructions. But none came.."Mission to control, over?." There was only silence. "Damnit our comms are jammed!." "What now Captain?." Sergeant Matthews finally spoke, trying to avoid looking at Gregors body. "We need to establish a base camp, in a few hours they should send squads 02 and 03 to reinforce us after not hearing any word." Allen said.
Allen looked around the desolate town before setting his eyes on a large hotel building a few blocks away. "We head over there to that Hotel, on me!." Ghost squadron followed behind him.
