A Demon's Kiss

As I stare at this man or creature. He catches me staring. He snickers. "Hello, my name is Grey Dupont. I am the owner of this marvelous hotel. I wanted to welcome you here." He winks. I can tell he is french due to his accent. I am just amazed about how he almost looks not human. He's too perfect. Why is he so perfect.

Snap it together Lorna. "Hi, thank you so much for helping me. I needed to get away for a bit. My name is Lorna Clark." He smiles and is about to turn around when...

"Well Miss Lorna, I would like you to show you the hotel and all it's secrets." He snickers again. What is so funny to him?

"I mean I am not dressed give me 30 minutes and I'll go with you." I say as embarassed about how I look right now.

"Okay, I will meet you outside your door at 9:45pm. I hope you are ready and not easily scared." I open my mouth but he is already gone by the time I turned around.

I had into the bedroom and I grabbed a push up bra, a nice red blouse, and some black ripped jeans. I loved wearing ripped jeans because I am very curvy so it makes me have more room. I smile but at the same time I hate it.

I grabbed a red scrunchie with pearls on it and I put my hair up into a pony tail. I slide on some checkered vans and head out the door.

"Well, hello stranger." I turn around and it's Grey Dupont. He changed into a teeshirt and some ripped jeans. He was wearing a suit and tie. I guess this place isn't always formal.

"We will head to the basement where all the fun happens. I hope you are up for it. I sure love it." He says with an evil smirk on his face. He was up to something and I couldn't figure it out.

We get on the elevator and head to the basement. Floor 0. What a weird floor. He walks out of the elevator and it's so dark I can't see a thing. OMG am I gonna be killed.

He grabs my hand and I follow him.

"Think of a code word when things get too crazy to think about. I am used to this stuff due to my job and experience. But you are new and I want to show you what you're missing." He makes sure I heard him. He leans and whispers in my ear. I shiver at his words.

"Redrum. How ironic isn't it Mr. Dupont?" I say as a roll my eyes. I don't think he liked me doing that. I sometimes forget that I can roll my eyes for everything.

"Redrum, I am not going to murder you or let anyone do that to you." I give me a confused look. As I am holding his hand, he moves his thumb back and forth and it makes me shudder. I can feel electricity shooting up into my body.

"I'm nervous but not scared. I don't know what to expect but I am here with you." I smack my free hand over my face. I said something stupid.

"We are almost there. Keep your eyes level. Do not look them in the eyes. Do not give them sass or anything. I am the leader but once they get that urge I can't help you without killing them. If you say the safe word, I will leave you alone and I will never come back" He sighs after that statement.

Even though we just met, I feel like we've known each other. I squeeze his hand as he leads me into this door that was painted red. As we walk in that's when I get that adrenaline rush. He looks at me and motions with his eyes. There are rooms that are open to the public. It's two people or three in each. As soon as I think about what they are doing. I squeeze his hand even harder.

They are feeding on humans. Vampires. OMG I'm definitely going to die tonight. Once I realize what is happening, Grey looks at me and is saying something.

"So, now that I've shown you the secret of Dupont's Hotel. You can tell no one. If you do I will physically kill you myself. Yes, I know what you are thinking. You are human yes but I will not feed on you unless I have your permission. I will feed on humans that want me to. They are called donors. We do not feed on people who do not want to be fed on. Well at least my gang. I am the leader." He says and pulls me to the side while someone tries to sneak a bite of ME!

Grey pushes me to the side of the room and he grabs the vampire's neck. "Now, you will not hurt this girl even if she is the last human on earth! I am your leader and you will not defy me." He throws the male vampire to the ground. The vampire super runs out of the red door room.

"Grey, how come you like me so much? I am damaged and no one likes me because of my body..." I say as I wince at the pain it causes me to say.

"Lorna, the moment Aliza told me you needed somewhere to stay because of your abusive dad. I looked into you and your life. Your mom died of cancer and your dad became an abusive drunk. You needed to get out of there. But this will not come easy to you. It take a toll on humans that vampires can't understand. Human brains are not wired like vampires." He says with a frown.

"You knew me before you met me? I needed to start my schooling again and decided to come here. My college is a few miles away. I am strong enough for this secret. But I have so many questions and I can't ask you here."

"How about we go to my penthouse? You can ask me all the questions you have and if you still want to be near me then we will arrange the priorities and rules."

What does he mean by rules?
