"My first day was a bust." I said sitting down at our dinner table with my mom.
"Oh?" She seemed disappointed."What happened?" She asked.
"These stupid guys pinned me up against a locker and called me rude names all day. There must be something wrong with me or something. Everybody seems to hate me the minute they see me." I said, stabbing my pasta with my fork.
"They pinned you up against a locker?" She asked in concern.
"Yeah." I quietly admitted.
"Are you- Did you- " She couldn't seem to form the sentence because of how surprised she was. She finally spit out. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, its just upsetting that nobody likes me." I fought back tears, knowing this wouldn't end well if they slipped out. I looked down at my plate.
"Just give it time you'll make friends." She said, assuringly. I looked up. "I promise." She said with a warm smile. I tried to smile but I couldn't shake my anger.
"Whatever, I'm not hungry." I said, pushing my plate aside and running upstairs to my room.

"You look pretty today." Emily said greeting me happily. She seemed almost too happy for this early in the morning.
"Thanks." I said, trying to not sound like I want to kick someones ass.
"So how did the rest of your day go yesterday?" She asked. I was trying to forgot that. I wish she hadn't asked. I let out a long exhale.
"Horrible." I said, showing her my wrists that had fresh bruises. She looked at them is disbelief.
"You have to tell someone." She lightly rubbed her thumb on them. Before I could respond, Jack walked up behind us.
"She isn't going to say shit." Jack G interrupted.
Emily became nervous. Jack noticed and used this as an advantage. "I suggest you walk away, little girl, and let us finish up business here." Jack said, getting up in her face.
She nodded her head and walked away fast leaving me to die. What a bitch!
"Quite a friend you got there." The quiet one spoke up, I forgot his name. Nate?
"I can say the same to you.." I said.
Jack J shoved me against the locker and said "Talk shit get hit."
"Well to you its 'don't say shit get hit'.. Or is it 'say anything get hit'? Either way someones getting hit, am I right gang?" I said, smiling like a mad man. They weren't impressed.
He slapped me across the face, leaving my face to sting as his hand left my cheek. I winced and noticed more people gathering around to watch. I didn't let my pain shine through, though.
"Where's the other one?" I asked, noticing Sammy's absence.
"Home. He ditched." Nate said.
"Oh isn't that too bad! He will be missed, be sure to send him my condolences." I said sarcastically.
"I swear you say one more word." Jack J said, tightening his grip on my already bruised wrists.
I stared into his cold, blue eyes and then quickly knee'd him in the balls. He fell to the ground in pain. Of course Jack G came to the rescue and punched me square in the nose. The room started spinning and I fell to the ground just as the bell rang. When I woke up I was in the nurse's office and the police were standing near by.
