(Human!Jungkook x Vampire!Male Reader)

Requested by: GrimmieGrim Hope you like it! It was meant to be up a while ago, but I had some stuff I was going through... :( I also changed it up a bit from your initial request, I hope you don't mind! Also, please read the note at the end!

Jeon Jungkook sighs as he walks home from classes on that late Thursday evening, his fringe clinging to his forehead due to having the misfortune of being caught in the rain without an umbrella, and rolls his eyes.

'I knew I should have checked the weather this morning,' he thinks to himself, lowly cursing as he attempts to somewhat cover himself with his hands, but it proves fruitless. 'Goddamn it...'

On Monday, he ended up bumping into someone on his way out of study hall and shattered his phone screen beyond repair. On Tuesday, his older brother visited him for the day and tripped over his extension cord, completely wrecking his PC. On Wednesday, his voice cracked embarrassingly while he gave his presentation on 19th century philosophy, granting him a one-way ticket to, 'Oh my god! How old is this kid again? Haha!' And finally today, his phone didn't charge during the night, so he missed his alarm this morning, ended up completely missing one of lectures, and received a harsh scolding from his professor.

And to top it off? Fucking rain.

This is honestly just his luck; getting rained on to add on top of the already-shitty week he's having, and Jungkook feels as if he should have known better than to think the universe would give him a break.

Jungkook runs to an empty bus stop bench, lowly exhaling in relief at the momentary break from being pelted by the cold droplets of the autumn shower, and shakes his hair not unlike that of a puppy trying to dry off their fur.

"Christ," the male mutters to himself, wiping the water off of his face, "could my life possibly get any worse?"

Almost on cue, a loud crack of thunder violently booms through the sky, nearly scaring Jungkook out of his own skin, and he holds a hand to his racing heart.

...He'll take that as a maybe.

After waiting at the bus stop for more than another five minutes, Jungkook begins to grow impatient, and checks the electronic wall for the bus schedule to see when the next bus is going to come. When his eyes read over the pixelated, orange words that flash across the screen, they screw shut and he lets out a groan of exasperation.

"Thirty-seven minutes, are you fucking kidding me?!"

'Of course!' Jungkook runs a hand over his face. 'Of course this shit would happen to me! Why wouldn't it?'

At this rate, Jungkook figures that he might as well walk home. Pro: it takes nearly the same amount of time to his house on foot. Con: he can get sick from walking in the rain for so long.

The options weigh on Jungkook's mind.

Con: miss school and use being sick as an excuse. Jungkook's shoulder slump. Pro: all of the work he would have to make up for missing school. Was missing school actually worth it?

Another clap of thunder makes the male jump once more and he decides, 'Yeah, it just might be.'

So, pulling his jacket around him even tighter to fight against the nipping cold, Jungkook begins his way home in the rain. He can practically hear his mother's voice, scolding him for not wearing a thicker jacket, but there wasn't much to be done about that now—the damage was already done.
