Rain poured out from the heavens, soaking every inch of my entire body. My blackberry colored hoodie was the only thing protecting me from the frigid rain. It didn't help much as in keeping me warm, but it was better than nothing.
Some would say that I was an idiot to strive on through this storm and that I would get a cold or hypothermia, but I didn't care. I rather inflict pain on myself than others. That is what I want, isn't it?
I trudged through the muddy sidewalks when I saw a boy, around my age, standing in the rain. Now who would be stupid enough to be out here in this freezing weather all alone? Then again I am. As I started to walk forward, I started to get a familiar strange knot in my stomach. No... Please, not now. Not again.
Darkness began to surround me, swallowing me up. I became dizzy as I widened my eyes in fear, but slowly got used to it though it didn't go away. Around me were a bunch of charred up trees with no leaves. Their branches twisted and turned abnormal and sometimes looked like claws. The grass beneath me was brown and crunched every time I walked. The silence was all I could hear making me shiver.
No matter how many times I've been in this place, I never can shake off this place's uneasy aura. How could you when it felt like it's crushing your mind? Why couldn't she just have waited a little longer? I'm not ready. I'm not ready to take another precious life. I clench my fists and kept on walking. Maybe this is just an illusion. Maybe she's just tricking me. It's too early for another killing.
With that thought, an indigo mist swirled around my ankles giving an eerie glow to it. Then all of a sudden a demonic giggle echoed through the shadows. I started to run away the figure that was forming from the mist.
"NO! NO! NO! NO NOT YET!!!" I yelled with agony, covering my ears and closing my eyes.
"Hehehehe...." a high pitched laugh screeched replied. The noise was too loud for me to block out, resulting me into collapsing on the floor. I shook terribly as my eyes widened. The figure was right in front of me now.
"What's the matter, Scarlet? Isn't fun to be around this beautiful devil?" A cocky tone arose from a little girl that looked identical to me when I was young.
Her hair was just a few centimeters above her shoulder. It was naturally straight and looked a little ragged at the bottom and messy. Fresh blood was dripping off her side bangs. She wore a manic's smile. Her skin was pale, looking flawless. The only thing different between us was the misleading eyes. Instead of hazel, dark aquamarine blue twinkled making it appear like the depths of the ocean. She lifted her hand to me and titled her head to the side giving off an innocent look.
"Come play a game with me, there is a man waiting to be ended by you." she giggled as she took a step closer to me.
"Get away from me!!" I pleaded. I crawled back, frightened by what she could do.
She twitched a few times looking like a glitch in a video game. Her unnatural smirk grew even bigger across her face as she bent down towards me.
"Oh, poor girl... You look like a scared child. Well, let me fix that!" The little girl hummed out in despite. She ducked down and began to grab ahold of me. I tried to squirm out of her grasp. Tears began to prick the rim of my eyes.
"Stop being a hassle! Accept who you are and come kill me!!" She angrily groaned. Her nails began to dig deep into my skin.
I wailed in pain as I tried to keep struggling out of her grip. She slowly shifted her age that fitted mine. Now it was definite that we looked like twins. Soon I barely could muster up anymore strength to get out of her grasp. She pulled me up with great force, so I was on my feet.
"Finally. Your such a fiesty child you know," she giggled delightfully. I just stared at the ground with emotionless eyes.
After a moment of silence, I whispered, "Why do you do this to me?"
"Well, isn't it obvious? You did it to yourself. I'm just embracing your true talent." She grinned as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
I grimaced with her touch, but didn't move,"Killing isn't a talent..."
"Well, yes it's more of an art." She placed her finger on her lips, "Just like martial arts."
I huffed,"It's not even art!"
She shook her head with an evil smile," Oh, how wrong you are my child. Once you are done with your new piece, you'll finally see what I mean. I can't wait to use some new techniques!" She jumped for joy.
"No! not gonna kill somebody just for your bloody sake, not again!" I screamed out bloody murder. I reached down to my pocket wanting this to be all over. I winced for a second and thought about what I was gonna do. No, I have to do it! If I don't then a precious life will end just because of me. I grabbed a hold onto the one thing that would end all of this for good.
"Hahaha, oh yes you will," she yelled back. She began to grasp onto my arm again, not letting me go.
Now or never. I swiftly yank my switchblade from my back pocket and flick the thing open. I pointed the sharp edge at my chest. A quivering smirk dangled on my face. 1..2...3...My eyes tightened shut and I slammed the blade right into my chest. I glanced down at my body, it appeared to look as if wine was pouring out of me. I knew it wasn't wine, but I like to think it was. The pain was gruesome, but it was worth it if it meant saving someone. My eyes widened as I began to twist the blade around and around. I heard slight crackles from here and there. I tumbled on the black solid floor. My breathing became raspy as I struggled to snag onto air as best as I could. My back arched forward.
"Heh, if killing is an art then I guess you'll-" I became to cough up a bunch of blood,"love this.."
"Noooo!!! Why did you do that, BITCH!!" a voice screamed at me. The girl slumped down next me and held my hand tight. She whimpered for me to stay alive for just a bit longer. I snickered a little bit in amusement. She was just crying because she knew she was going to die. My dark side never cared for me, only for herself. That's all. I closed my eyes for the very last time. The time was almost near and I knew I was ready to die. Little tears would streak down my cheeks, but trust me as these were tears of joy. My parents are waiting for me now. I just know it.
Then from the bottom of my feet and to to the tip of my head, my body became a lifeless corpse......
"WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!!!" I heard a boy shout right into my ear.
I began to be shaken by an unknown force. My eyes shot open and I looked around me. Where am I and how did I get here? Was what came to my head was a familiar young man who looked at me as if he had seen a horror movie for the time.
"W-what?" I quivered, gently.
