"YOUR TEAM MEMBERS-- choose one to die."
Everyone held their breath as Tobias revealed what he meant.

"Kill me," Spencer instantly decided.

"You said you weren't one of them."

"I lied."

"Your team has seven other members. Tell me who dies."

Spencer shook his head, "no."

"Damnit Spencer, just say me," Amethyst mumbled as she pulled at her fingers in anticipation.

Tobias reached in his pocket and pulled out a revolver. He spun it and shifted it back into its place before pointing it directly at Spencer's head, "choose, and prove you'll do god's will."

Everyone wanted to look away from what may happen but couldn't tear their eyes away from the scene, "no," Spencer answered again.

Tobias pulled the trigger...nothing but a click, "choose," he kept the gun trained on Spencer.

"I won't do it."

Another click, "life is a choice."

"No," Spencer replied again, voice more steady.

Another click, "choose."

Spencer licked his lips, "I..." he trailed off, trying to decide what was the best option, "I choose... Aaron Hotchner."

The team let out a breath but turned to their leader with worry. Hotch's face dropped as he listened to what Spencer said.

"He's a classic narcissist. He thinks he's better than everyone else on the team."

"Did he lie?" Amethyst muttered but Hotch heard her making him glare at her.

"Genesis 23:4. 'Let him not deceive himself and trust in emptiness, vanity, falseness, and futility, for these shall be his recompense."
