Chapter 14

It was beginning to get easy to lie to everyone I care about and I hated it. My dad was really disappointed that I didn't make the team but I convinced him that when Coach sees improvement in me he promised me a spot on the team. My mom doesn't even question where I'm going anymore as long as I say I'm with Susie. Susie doesn't understand why I have so much do with my mom all of a sudden. I really need to make some time for her but coach wants me to spend all my free time with him. I have to admit it is exiting though, it's like forbidden love.
It's almost 1, time for coach to pick me up so I start walking to the corner when I run into Derrick from English class.
"Hey Megan, what's up? "
"Oh hey Derrick, I almost didn't see you there?" I laugh nervously. I could see behind him, coach was waiting for me at the corner.
"Where you going?" He asks
"I'm just running some errands for my mom, nothing big, you?"
"Nothing much, about to go meet some of the guys from school."
"Sounds fun. Alright, I'll see you in school."
"Hey I wanted to ask you something." he says shyly.
"What is it?"
"You wanna go to the movies sometime" he coughs "with me?"
"Sure, but can we talk about this later I don't want to be late." I smile.
"Oh, my bad. Yea I'll see you in school and we'll talk. Bye." Derrick says as he walks fast in the other direction.
Wow, Derrick likes me, he is so hot! I can't wait to tell Susie! I know crazy to care but I've only been on a few date. Coach is the only guy I've been exclusive with. it would be nice to do things my age with people my age.
I hurry to the car look and around before I get in.
"Hey Bobby" I say a little out of breath.
Coach Bobby doesn't say anything just pulls off fast with a look of annoyance on his face.
When we get to his house and is safely inside, Coach is still giving me the silence treatment.
"Whats wrong Bobby?" I ask sitting on the couch.
"He turns to me and he has this menacing look on his face. For a minute there it frightened me, I've never seen him look so evil.
"What the hell was that back there?"
"What, with Derrick?"
"Don't play stupid with me, yes with Derrick!"
"He's just a friend, what is wrong with you?"
"You are mine remember!!! I don't want you to talk to him! "
"Why not he's nice." I say a little lost at why we are having this conversation.
"Oh so now I don't make you happy, you need DERRICK! "
"Look you are acting crazy, haven't I been showing you that I wanna be with you! I lie to everyone to be with you. I disappointed my dad and didn't make the team because you want all my time, I never even see my friends anymore unless I'm at school! What do you want from me. Ever since this started all we do is come to your house!"
"YOU ARE MINE!! " Coach yells, he reaches over and grabs me. He is holding me so tight it begins to hurt.
"Let go, your hurting me!" I say scared.
Coach looks at me, looks at himself and then just let's me go. He rubs his forehead, sits down and puts his head in his hands. He takes some deep breaths to calm down and finally sits up and looks at me.
"I'm so sorry Megan. I can't breathe when I'm away from you. I thought you were trying to leave me for that boy, Derrick. Your right though we need to go out sometimes, how about this. We have our first away game next week and after the game, I'll take you out , well have fun ok, promise." He smiles and caresses my cheek.
"You forgive me babe. I love you." he ask "Of course, just let me breathe sometimes." I grab his hand and kiss it.
He smiles and kisses me. When he pulls away all I can see is how much he loves me.
"You know that's the first time you said I Love you." I say blushing. "I love you too."
He grabs my hand, pulls me to follow him to his bedroom.
