Clark burst through the double oak doors to see Lex and Lana sitting on the leather sofa, eating some Chinese. "Oh hey Lana." Clark smiled, obviously missing her. "What do you want Clark?" Lex sneered. Since Clark had barged in a few weeks ago, their friendship had took a turn. Clark couldn't get over the fact that Lana was dating Lex. It infuriated him and he couldn't live with it. He had made it his mission to annoy Lex as much as possible. "I just wanted to let you know that your father is in hospital. He was in a car crash." Lex stopped himself from his insulting comeback. A car crash? "Is he alright?" asked Lex. Lana's face had grown concerned. "Doctors say he will be fine with time." muttered Clark.
"Thanks for telling me then Clark, but if you don't mind me asking, why were you sent and not my security?"
" I wanted to tell you personally." said Clark. What? Clark wanted to tell him about his father's well-being? He shook it off and sighed. "Thanks Clark."
"My pleasure." he replied as he gazed at Lana. She turned away and there was a long uncomfortable silence. As Clark was leaving, Lex smiled at Lana as she lay down. "I've been feeling really tired lately" she sighed. Lex pulled a blanket over her.
"Get some rest and ims hre you'll be fine." As she closed her eyes, he thought about how lucky he was to have her.
