(Since I didn't really put up an actual story chapter last week, and some were worried I wouldn't continue it, I'll put up a second one. Enjoy!)
I propped (Names) book upright and rested my chin on top of it as I watched what was about to happen before me.
"What's wrong? You just thanked me for the tea that I generously poured for you. Since you already thanked me for it, you'll have to drink it. Or do you not want to drink it since it's too hot?" Abbacchio asked with a smirk.
I looked over to the other three out of the corner of my eye and saw Narancia turned away and trying to keep himself from laughing, Fugo just smirking and snickering a bit, and Mista also smirked as he leaned over to Abbacchio.
"Maybe he doesn't want to drink it because he doesn't want to be one of us" Mista said.
I looked back to Giorno just as he looked over to me as if looking for help. I just closed my eyes as I shrugged my shoulders. Just then, Bucciarati came back from his call.
"What the hell are you guys doing?"
Giorno turned him and smiled calmly "It's nothing. He went through the trouble of pouring this tea for me."
He then put the cup up to his lips and downed the 'tea' in one go.
"No freakin way!" Narancia yelled out.
"What did you guys do!?"
The boy put the cup down gently on the saucer and we all saw that it was empty.
"Gross! He actually drank it!" Narancia cried out.
"D-dude, you're hilarious! Did you really drink it!?" Mista nervously laughed.
"No, there's no way he could have! Hey, how'd you do it? Where did you hide it?" Fugo rambled on.
Giorno tilted his head in a teasing way "who knows? You're all keeping your abilities a secret too, aren't you?"
Everyone had a shocked look on their faces.
"Bahahaha! This kid knows what's up! I like him already!" I laughed out as Giorno gave me a strange look.
"You're not-"
"Don't worry bout it kid. Name's Annabel Oscuro, (Name's) pretty cool with you already so I don't mind you knowing about me" I said, cutting Giorno off "nice to meet you."
"Ah, you as well" Giorno said with a nod.
The other three went back to petering Giorno on how he 'drank' Abbacchios 'tea'. He just smirked and didn't say a thing. For a moment, I could see a tiny jellyfish in place of a tooth.
'Hah, smooth move Giorno, I think you'll fit in just fine.' I thought to myself.
"Quit screwing around. We're going out" Bucciarati stated firmly.
"Huh, where?" Narancia asked.
"Follow me and you'll find out. Hurry it up" he ordered.
We were walking up the sidewalk to wherever Bucciarati was leading us. (Name) left me in control for now but I kinda wish she had taken back control.
"Ciao Mr. Bucciarati!"
"Mr. Bucciarati, ciao!"
"Ciao! Nice day today, isn't it Mr. Bucciarati?"
All the attention Bucciarati was attracting was kind of making me anxious.
"Quite the celebrity you are, Bucciarati" I said as I shifted more to the center of the group.
I usually work under the radar and to only attention I get is from my enemies. I'm usually around people who look at me negatively; with malice, hostility and the intent to kill. I'm not use to such non-hostile energy, that is why I don't usually go out by myself. Negativity has been a constant in my life since I lost my family when I was 7. A gang hit was on my parents because of their previous association with the rival mafia, would you guess it, Passione. Didn't find out till I turned 13 when I joined Passione. Before that, I hung around with other street kids, covering for them and saving their asses with the stand I had awoken shortly after the hit. None of them stuck around, they took what I gave and left me. When I got in to the gang, I was working under a leader with a few other people my age when we got the mission to hunt this gang down and take care of any stragglers. Our leader was a good man; though I have to say he isn't as good as Bucciarati, he still took good care of us. He cared for us so much that he ended up dying for us, putting me in charge before he passed. The only positivity that stuck around with me that I was comfortable with was my team, they were people I could trust.
(Name), she's an interesting person, a pretty cool girl; she shares my body, I kinda have no choice to trust her and so far I don't regret it. I've met more positive people I could trust because of her. They were still new to me, so I'm not as comfortable with them as I am with my team.
"Hey, Annabel, was it?" Giorno snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, yeah. What's up?"
"Are you feeling ok? You look pale" He said.
"Well, I'm not originally apart of Bucciaratis team, I have a team of my own. And I'm not very comfortable around large crowds. I'm ok when I'm with my team because I am so familiar with them, but I just joined Bucciaratis team almost a week ago."
"Why do you stick around then?"
"Well (Name) is one reason and the fact I need to do something other than lounging around all day is another. My team doesn't do much so the capo put us on leave for a week and a half. We don't do much even when we aren't on leave, I need something to do."
"I see."
We ended up getting a car loaner and Bucciarati drove us to the docks.
"We're cruising on a yacht? That's awesome!" Narancia said ecstatically.
"When did you get a yacht?" Abbacchio asked.
"We're renting one" Bucciarati said.
Narancia slumped over a bit "aw, it's just a rental" he said sounding quite disappointed.
"Hey, cheer up bud, it's still a yacht. That's still exciting" I said patting the boy on the back.
"Yeah, I guess you're right Anna."
"Say, Bucciarati. Whatever you do, please don't rent one with the number 4. It'll sink, I know it" Mista said nervously.
"Oh come on, if that were the case, it wouldn't be floating right now" Fugo sighed.
"Oh shut up! Then you can ride that on!"
"Boys, please stop" I said. 'This will be fun.'
