*Sorry I haven't updated lately!! But I'm here to continue this amazing story. Hope you enjoy uwu XD ;)*
Several days have passed since the incident. The incident that would always be in the back of Abbie's and Robert's mind. The incident that would torment them night after night. The incident that grew a new fear inside of them. But in reality, they had to move on. Midterms were coming up, as well as the school musical! They could not let their trauma stop them from having the best high school experience!
"Hey Robert!!" Abbie yelled from the hall.
"Come here!!!" She waved.
"Are you trying out for the fall musical?!?!??" She asked excitedly.
She was hoping Robert was, because that would mean more time with her crush. Yes, her crush. Ever since the Tony incident, Robert almost seemed awkward and afraid to make another move on Abbie, because of what happened the last time. She knew it would take a while for things to get back to normal, but not this long!
"Uhhhh Ah'm not sure. Ah don't know if I would be anay good." Robert replied.
"Ohhhhh come on!! Please!! You were soooo good at the karaoke social! And it would let us have more time to hang out!" Abbie begged him.
"Hmmmm okay fahine. It does sound prettay fun! But what musical are we ayeven doing?"
"We are doing Hamilton!!! I can't wait!!!" Abbie squealed.
"Wayt seriouslay?!? Ah loooove Hamilton!" He replied.
"I think you should go for Alexander Hamilton. You'd be so good." Abbie flirted.
"Ah would love to! What pahrt do you wahnt?" Robert asked.
"Eliza Hamilton.... ;)" Abbie and Robert blushed.
After some awkward silence, Abbie continued, "Well... try outs are in a week. Sing thirty seconds to a minute of a song from a broadway show and callbacks will be announced that night! I better see you there!" Abbie smiled as she walked to class.
As Abbie read a textbook in her U.S. History class, the only thing she could think of was how amazing it would be for her and Robert to get the parts they wanted in Hamilton. They would get to kiss onstage, dance together, and have the best time. And plus, Robert would look amazing in the Hamilton costume. It would be so adorable to listen to him rapping and singing. It would practically be a dream come true.
"Earth to Abbie!" Ms. Hirschi, her history, teacher said.
"Oh.... sorry" Abbie snapped back into the real world.
"Who was the first secretary to the treasury of the United States?"
Abbie grinned.
"Alexander Hamilton... his name is Alexander Hamilton. And there's a million things he hasn't done, just you wait, just you wait." Abbie recited the lyrics of the first song in their school musical.
The class went silent.
"..... very good, but you didn't have to give us a speech."
The bell rang and it was finally time to go home and choose her song for auditions. She was nervous, but determined to get the part of Eliza, her dream role.
When Abbie got home, she did her homework quickly and then opened her chrome book to search up "Best audition songs for altos". Many songs came up, but one stood out to her that seemed like the perfect choice. It was more of an underground song, that wasn't used very often for auditions. It is called "Defying Gravity" from the musical Wicked.
"Perfect!" She said to herself.
Abbie searched up a lyric video to her audition song and began to practice. She decided to sing the ending, because it would show off her vocal range more."
"And nobody in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was!" She sang.
"Is ever gonna bring........ MeeeEeeEEEE DOWNNNNNNN!!!!" She belted.
"BRINGGGGGGG MEEEEEE DOWWWWNNNNNN!!!!!!!!"
She prepared for the final note.
"OOOOOHOHOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Abbie finished with a smile on her face. She had confidence she was going to get her dream role. Especially with this song.
Her mother busted into her room and said in shock, "Abbie, was that you singing or a recording of Idina Menzel?!?!"
Abbie laughed, "it was me mom! I promise!"
"You're so talented! Well, when you are ready, we have dinner downstairs. I made a main course of roasted salmon freshly caught with scallops and caviar on the side along with sparkling cider and a homemade strawberry cheesecake for dessert!"
"Yummy! Thanks mom!" Abbie said with excitement.
They both went downstairs and ate together as they talked about the upcoming auditions, when Abbie received a text from Robert.
"Do you wahnt to come over and practice our audition songs together tonahight?" It said.
Abbie smiled to herself as she replied.
"Yes! I can come after dinner xoxo"
Tonight would be the start of their relationship again. Robert wanting to hang out with her was a good sign! And she would get to hear him sing! With her singing expertise and his amazing voice, he would for sure be casted as Hamilton, and all her dreams would come true!
