A Siren's Song (On Hold)

A Lovely Secret

After you were far from port, you went around the ship to look for a change of clothes.

Jack and Will are on deck conversing. You enter the cabin where you find a shirt "lucky" you mumbled to yourself.

You took off your clothes and your corset and put the shirt on. After buttoning it you tore off the skirts of your dress and tie it around your waist, "this mess will do for now"

You threw away your shoes, happy. You could run and walk barefoot if you wanted to.

Now you are ready for anything.

While walking back to the deck you hear Jack and Will's little quarrel.

"It's not true." Will said, angry. "He was a merchant sailor. A respectable man who obeyed the law."

"He was a bloody pirate, a scallywag." Jack comment, not bothered by Will that he was angry.

"My father was not a pirate!" Will stood up and pulled out his sword.

"Will!" you ran to their side and stood in front of Jack. "Lower your weapon, we need him if we're going to save Elizabeth." you calmly pleaded.

"Will please lower your sword" you pleaded again.

Will lowered his sword as his anger slowly melted.

Jack looked at you and Will, his pirate face softens as he sighs.

"Where are we headed Captain?" you asked Jack. He grins at you and goes back to steering the ship.

"Tortuga"

After sitting around for some hours, you decided to take a break and just talk to Will during the rest of the trip.

"So, the Interceptor." You begin. "What's with the name?"

Will starts laughing.

"That name, it's perfect. Perfect for a Navy ship."

You raise an eyebrow.

"Oh, is it?" you sat next to Will.

"how so?" you asked him.

He tilted his head to the side and considered it for a moment.

"Well, the Interceptor is fast, it's a great navigator and she has cannons." He explained."all ships have canons silly" you giggled.

"Not trading ships. Though she's good at using them."You rolled your eyes. "and how do you know?"

"I was there when they tested them." he answered looking into the horizon. You nodded following his eyes. "we're pirates now... Are you ready for that life?" you asked him not taking your eyes off of the horizon.

"for Elizabeth" he mumbled.

"for Friendship" you smiled at Will asked he smiles back at you.

Later you decided to take a nap as the men mind the boat. "You're lucky, the breeze is going out of the-" you woke up and someone was sitting next to you.

Jack was leaning against the bed as he watched you sleep. "were you watching me sleep?" you questioned the pirate adventure you rubbed your eyes.

He nodded slowly as he scratched the side of his face."we've arrived." he simply said walking out. You quickly got up, grabbing Will's coat, which he so kindly offered.

He was right, the ship has taken port at Tortuga. You stopped Will. "I'll wait at the ship, can you buy me some proper clothes?" you asked will as he nods and follows behind Jack as he yells back "There will be no buying if anything! It's a pirate land lads!"
