The Nanny Affair

Chapter Four

Knock!, knock!, knock. Sounds heard on the door of Berrys room early morning. She opens the door to find Sam standing outside her door way with suitcases packed and ready to leave the house. She is puzzled and asks him "where is he going?, and what's going on?". Sam just stands there for a few seconds before answering softly to say that he is leaving for a business trip in Taiwan and he would be gone for atleast three months. Berrys heart dropped immediately with sadness. Her facial expressions showed Sam that she was not happy at all. Berry asked him "What will the boys do here all alone for three months?". Sam uttered in a soft voice " Figure it out one day at a time. After all you are the best Nanny and I know you will do a good job". Berry is very angry at his statement and gives him a rough talk on how he always leaves his boys out of the picture and always is too busy for them. He needs to take more time out and spend some time with them even though what he is doing is for them.
Sam stood there and listened to Berry and then uttered a soft goodbye and looked back and told her that Sofia will also be traveling with him on his buisness trip and that she should be safe.
Sam opened the doors and walked into the vehicle where Sofia was already sitting waiting for him. Sam waved her goodbye as he drove off into the distance.
Berry closed the mansions door and proceeded back to her bedroom. With tearful eyes. She entered her bedroom and threw herself across the bed and cried tears of sadness and betrayal.
Later that morning it was about time for the boys to be up and have breakfast. So she pulled herself together made breakfast for the boys and told them the news their father had broken to her earlier that morning before he left with Sofia for a business trip.
The boys face saddened and they returned to their room with tearful eyes. Berry went behind them and comforted them. She also reassured them that she will make every day days that they will never forget.
Two days passed. Berry in the kitchen making breakfast for the boys. When she heard light footsteps heading towards the kitchen. When she turned away from the stove, she saw Sam standing in the kitchen with tearful eyes. They both stared at each other for a moment and then Sam walked over to Berry and embraced her. She immediately fell loose in his arms. She couldn't believe her eyes that he was literally there. They both cried on each other's shoulders.
Sam turned to Berry and reached in for a kiss. But she turned away. And called the boys to meet their dad.
The boys jumped up into their fathers arms immediately after seeing him standing in the kitchen. They embraced so much and praised him for his return. Sam say down for breakfast with the boys and Berry and told them that their flight got cancelled. And that they won't be having a next flight until two days after that present day. He also expressed that he would like to take Berry and the boys with him on the business trip as well. So he can still be around his family while on the trip.
They all jumped around with joy and headed off to start packing for the trip.
