Not more than a week passed and Matt got over his sickness, well, almost, he still had basic symptoms, but it led him to bombing Tom with a million questions, to which the last ones he left unanswered, thinking that they were too dumb to even be paid attention to.
'Could you possibly die of a cold?'

You actually could, if you weren't healthy enough, but the black eyed one didn't want to scare Matt, not more than he already sounded to be. Sometimes Tom just wished Matt had someone else to bother, in a good way. It was ironic for him that someone as healthy, good-looking and wealthy as Matt didn't know so many people. It was actually kind of sad. Tom thought he was worthy of having a big circle of friends, he just didn't think he himself deserved to be in it. Matt has been an awesome person so far.
But hey, quality over quantity. Keep that noted.
Going out sometimes was a bit hard, but still necessary, Thomas gathered everything he thought was necessary, and went out, surprisingly his keys didn't break nor did the doorknob fall off, and when he took the lift, no buttons were broken, and it didn't have a sudden stop… Or fell. Still, something worse could happen.
It did. As an introvert, who would hate to go out, meet or hang out with friends… Acquaintances? What would be your biggest fear?
Go out, meet and hang out with your friends.
And in the lobby, his biggest fear.
"...He is short, has spiky messy hair, and– Hey, he's there!"
That finger pointing at Thomas felt like a dagger on his back when he tried to turn and walk back into the lift, but someone else took it before him, and the doors closed before he could hold them. And after the almost nonexistent stinging pain (get it? from the "dagger") on his back, he felt a cold hand on his shoulder that sent shivers all the way down his spine, which made him turn back and face the ginger.
The difference of heights between them could make Tom break his neck, if he looked up too fast. But of course he wasn't expecting anyone to kneel down in front of him just to have a conversation… Or was he?
"I tried calling you but you never picked it up." Matt said, always with that stupid little smile on his face.
"Uhm, I was busy, with… Things. I was doing things." Tom hid his hands behind his back, and scratched a palm of one of them.
"Okay, I hope you're finished, I want to do some other things with you." The ginger pulled him by his hand, out of the building. "C'mon, I want to take you somewhere."
"Wh-What? Where are we going?!" Tom panicked for a moment, already thinking of crowds of people, but he just couldn't pull back his hand.
Matt looked behind himself, at Tom, and smiled softly. "It's a surprise."
That would be a kind of soothing response for some people, but it only made Tom's level of panic rise by 20%. Would it be too rude to just run away? All he wanted was to buy groceries, but now he is being dragged to a place that he didn't even plan on going to, with a person that he only knew for about three weeks. Or was it more?
At some point, Tom picked up Matt's pace, but the other still didn't let go of his hand. No questions asked, as he knew Matt wouldn't answer any of them. All he could do for now was accept that he had to go outside and see people and probably even talk to them.
Poor him, having to interact with people.
He could take his time to appreciate the view of the streets mildly full of people, the sky was rather clean, and the sun shone brightly right above their heads, there was a lot of noise from the traffic, and Tom could hear some dogs barking around them, it was almost like life was enjoyable for him, because, you know, being Thomas, anything could happen.
