the couple remained tucked deep in each other's embrace. goeun kept her head in its usual spot on his chest, and jisung played with strands of her black hair.
the boy wrapped his arms tightly around her figure and squeezed her lovingly, which made goeun squeak out giggles. she felt safe in his arms, and he found comfort in hers.
but this was the beginning, when they still planned their forever.
"goeun," jisung started quietly and the said girl felt his heart beat harder against her cheek. she didn't move from her spot on his chest but gave his waist a gentle squeeze to assure him that he had her attention.
"i-i love you."
an unknowing smile instantly overtook goeun's face, and she lifted her head to meet his sparkling eyes.
he'd never told her that before, and it put the girl on cloud 9.
"you dumb kid, i love you too." goeun could feel the boy let out a relieved sigh, which only made her chuckle to herself.
i love you, too.
