"oh, i'm really sorry!" the boy practically yelled as he gently grabbed the girl's shoulders to stabilize her.

jisung, being the clumsy baby he is, hadn't been paying attention to where he was going and bumped into the little black-haired girl.

school had ended a little less than an hour before, but both students had been in after school tutoring. they appeared to be the only kids in the courtyard.

all goeun could do was stare up at him with wide eyes and pink cheeks, which snapped jisung out of his little trance. he removed his hands from her shoulders and shyly rubbed his nape. "u-uh, it's fine."

before it could get too awkward, goeun lifted her gaze to get his attention. "i'm chae goeun."

"i know," the boy breathed out with a sweet, natural smile, and goeun's lips parted in silent shock. "oh, wait, that sounds weird! i'm not, like, a stalker or anything, we just have a lot of classes together," he paused to catch his breath and goeun let out a single chuckle at his flustered state.

"sorry. i'm park jisung-" "i-i know..." both teenagers nervously faced their feet.

usually, it was unheard of that a popular would willingly talk to the loner, but there was no one around to judge either of them.

somehow, they got onto the topic of hobbies, and the teenagers realized that they had a lot in common. they both loved playing video games and dancing, and they couldn't cook to save their lives.

jisung never thought he'd have a casual conversation with the loner, but they were both laughing as they walked together. since another similarity they had was that they took the same street to get home, they decided to just walk together.

"hey," goeun had called bashfully before the two could bid their farewells. without warning, she grabbed the boy's forearm and quickly wrote something on his wrist with a pen jisung hadn't noticed her get.

jisung thought he would have panicked if a strange girl suddenly grabbed his arm, but something about her touch soothed him.

when she finished, goeun stepped back with a bright grin, and the boy twisted his arm to properly read what she had written.

"so you can text me and we can play games together or something..." she trailed off, facing her feet sheepishly, but jisung found it cute.

he let out a short chuckle and nodded. "deal. keep your phone close by, got it?"

goeun giggled and folded her hands behind her back. "got it!"
