Chapter 3: Wither

Back in Beacontown, Jesse and his friends were showing Timothy and Lucy around Beacontown, until they made it to the Beacons, "And finally, the Beacons." Jesse stated. "Activated by the Nether Star that fell after we defeated the Wither Storm." Petra added. Timothy and Lucy were fascinated by what they just heard. "What is a Wither Storm?" Lucy asked. "You mean you two don't know?" Axel asked while looking at Lucy. "Cut them some slack Axel, they don't know about it." Olivia said while looking at Axel. "Let's just say that the Wither Storm was a terrible monster that we have ever faced." Jesse said as he and his friends led Timothy and Lucy into the Order Hall while still talking about the Wither Storm.

a few minutes later

"And so I destroyed the Command Block and the Wither Storm was defeated and cured everyone who got affected by it, though I wouldn't have done it if it weren't for Reuben." Jesse finished as he saw a portrait of Reuben hanging on the wall. Timothy and Lucy saw the portrait and they felt bad for Jesse, "I'm so sorry for your loss Jesse." Timothy said. "Yeah, sorry." Lucy added. Jesse looked at Timothy and Lucy and smiled, "Thanks guys." Jesse said. "Anytime." Timothy and Lucy said smiling back at Jesse.

Just then, a blonde-haired man came running into the Order Hall shouting, "JESSE!" The blonde-haired man shouted which caused everyone in the room to look at him, "THERE'S AN E..." He stopped at the sight of Timothy and Lucy, "Who are they?" Asked the blonde-haired  man asked. Jesse looked at Timothy and Lucy then back at the blonde-haired man, "Lukas, this is Timothy and Lucy, they came here to visit Beacontown." Jesse said while introducing Timothy and Lucy. Jesse turned again to look at Timothy and Lucy, "Timothy and Lucy, this is Lukas, he's also a member of the Order of the Stone." Jesse introduced.

Jesse turned to look back at Lukas, "Now, what is it Lukas? Is something wrong?" Jesse asked. Lukas shook his head, "No, but there's a strange bird flying towards Beacontown! Follow me!" Lukas said as he ran out of Order Hall. Jesse, Timothy, and their friends all followed Lukas outside and looked up and saw a bird approaching. "What is it?" Olivia asked. "Maybe it's friendly." Axel added. "Or is it attacking." Petra added as she drew out her sword. Jesse was thinking on what to do and had a thought, "It could be a threat!" Jesse stated, "Grab your bows and arrows, we're going to shoot it down." Jesse added.

Before the Order of the Stone did anything, Timothy got in front of them to prevent them from shooting the animal, "STOP!" Timothy shouted. Jesse and his friends were surprised, "What are you doing." Jesse asked in an angry tone. "Trying to keep you from shooting Eris." Timothy replied. Jesse and his friends were now confused, "Who's Eris?" Lukas asked while putting away his bow. "Eris is a friend of mine, but she was supposed to stay on Chima." Timothy explained. Jesse started thinking again while putting away his bow came up with another thought, "If she was supposed to stay in your home, then there's probably a reason why she's here." Jesse stated. "What's Chima?" Lukas asked. "Long story." Petra replied.

After the Order of the Stone decided not to shoot Eris, she landed in front of them and looked at them with worried look on her face. Timothy ran towards her and stopped in front of her, "Eris, I thought you were to stay on Chima." Timothy said with a worried look on his face as well. "I was, but something's happened." Eris said. "What's happened?" Timothy asked. "It's Liella, she's very sick, and what's worst of all, we don't know what kind of sickness it is, I'm not sure there's a cure, this sickness is not in any of our books!" Eris ranted on about in a panicking tone. "Whoa, whoa, whoa Eris, calm down." Lucy said trying to relax Eris. "Lucy's right, just because a friend of ours is sick, doesn't mean we should lose our cool." Timothy added

"What are the symptoms?" Jesse asked from behind. Eris looked behind Timothy and Lucy and saw the Order of the Stone, "She's coughing, her breath is shallow, and her beige-colored fur is turning dark." Eris explained. Jesse and his friends had worried expressions on their faces and looked at each other. Jesse looked back at the eagle, "Tell me, has her eyes changed color?" Jesse asked. Eris looked at Jesse, "Yes, from amber to magenta. Why?" Eris answered and asked. Jesse and his friends now had terrified looks on their faces, "But how is that possible?" Petra asked. "What's possible?" Timothy asked while looking at the Order of the Stone. "I'm afraid your friend has Wither Sickness!" Jesse revealed.

a few minutes later

Jesse, Timothy, and their friends were in the Order Hall and Jesse just got done explaining what Wither Sickness is. "If that's true, then how did she get infected?" Lucy asked. "I'm not sure." Eris replied, "She was fine until two days ago." Eris added. "QUIET!" Jesse shouted getting everyone's attention. As everyone was silent, Lucy spotted an elderly man with a manbun and a short beard, "Um, who is that?" Lucy asked. Jesse looked at the elderly man then back at everyone, "Timothy, Lucy, Eris, This is Ivor, he's also a member of the Order of the Stone." Jesse replied.

After Jesse introduced Ivor, he walked up to Timothy and handed him a potion, "Once your friend drinks this fancy potion, she will be cured from this wretched Wither Sickness." Ivor said as he stepped back. Timothy then just had a thought, "Jesse, you should probably come with us, incase this doesn't work." Timothy suggested. "But, what about Beacontown?" Lukas suggested. Jesse looked at Timothy and his friends then back at the Order of the Stone while thinking then he came up with another thought, "Okay Timothy, I'll go with you." Jesse said as he made up his decision.

Jesse turned to look at Lukas, "Look after things while I'm gone." Jesse said while placing his right hand on Lukas' left shoulder which he and the rest of the Order of the Stone gave a single nod. Jesse turned to look at Timothy and his friends and walked until he was in front of them, "Okay, what are we waiting for?" Jesse said while walking out of the Order Hall along with Timothy and his friends, heading to Chima to cure Liella from her Wither Sickness.

Next time on The Golden Guardian 2: Timothy and his friends, along with his new friend Jesse, are on their way to Chima with a potion to cure Liella. Will they make it back to Chima in time? Will they face something else on their travel? Find out in the next installment of The Golden Guardian 2.
