I walked into the school looking at my time table.
I came during Saturday to get everything I need, so I don't have to go to the admin today.
I looked at the paper and went to locker 137. I put in the combination they gave me and started arranging my books and other stuff inside the locker.
Halfway through arranging my locker, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turned around to see a boy smiling at me.
"Hi, my name is Nate". He said grinning.
"H-hi, I'm Layla". Because I'm stuttering doesn't mean I'm nervous.
"Cool, so I just came to give you a warm welcoming. I give almost everyone warm welcomings". He said.
"Alright, I have to continue arranging my locker". I said scratching the side of my head.
"Sure, guess I'll see you around". He said turning around to leave.
"Guess so". I said to his retreating body.
The bell wrung after some seconds when I was through.
I checked my time table, and I have Home EC first.
Gush, I love that subject.
I entered the class and every one stared at me.
Of course they stared, so they'll know who just entered.
I went to any available seat, and I picked the one in the middle.
The teacher soon entered.
"Everyone please settle down". He said and waited for everyone to keep quiet and he continued "Ok, so as you all know, we have new students. All the new students please step to the front.
I stood up and went to the front of the class with 7 other students.
"Please introduce yourself to the class". The teacher said looking at us.
I decided to go last.
After the other seven students finished introducing their selves I introduced myself.
"Hi, my name is Layla Christopher, and I'm a transfer student". I said repeating what the others said.
"Thank you Layla. My name is Mr. Joseph". He said and told me to sit down.

The classes went by fast. And it was lunch time.
Since I didn't really know anyone, I figured there would be nowhere to seat but outside.
I waited in the lunch line until it was my turn.
When I reached the front, I settled on a salad and a hamburger.
I was just about to leave until I heard someone shouting my name, and it sounded like Nate.
I turned around to see him waving me over.
I mouthed a 'who me'? and pointed to myself.
He nodded.
I made my way over to his lunch table and stood there akwardly.
"Guys, this is Layla, and she's a transfer student.
He I introduced me to his friends.
"Hey". I akwardly said.
I stood there waiting for them to say something.
"Aren't you going to sit down?. Come here". He said and patted to the space beside him.
I sat and put my tray on the table.
I started eating my salad since no one wanted to say something.
"Hey Layla, my name is Lisa". A girl said.
"Oh, hey". I said with a small smile.
"So, what school did you transfer from"?. She asked me playing with her food.
"I transferred from Green Oak, though it's weird that it has Oak in it". I said.
"Ooh, my sister went to that school". A boy with brown hair said.
"That's cool. What was her name?". I asked him.
"Kristen, do you know her?". He asked looking up from his food.
"Is it Kristen Stewart?". I asked him.
"Yeah, that Kristen". He said pointing his plastic fork at me.
"Yeah, I know her she was my close friend". I said smiling.
"That's good, because she's resuming school tomorrow". He said.
"Really, that's great. I can't wait to see her". I said, excitement bubbling inside me.
Before he could reply. The bell wrung.
I stood up, getting ready to leave. "Thank you Nate, for allowing me to sit here. Bye guys".
I trashed my tray and went to my locker to prepare for the next class.
