Chap#13

Jeonghan's POV:

After breakfast, I, Joshua and Minki were sitting at my study. Joshua was rummaging through the files while I sipped my caramel shake and Minki was examining the room.

'You seem familiar with this place', Minki said, shadowing Joshua who was bend over the files.

' It's been one and half month , I'm an unofficial part of this household', Joshua said.

' No, it's OFFICIAL', I concluded.

Joshua smiled and got back to work.

'Where's Mingyu?', Minki aksed me as he settled himself on the chair in front of my table where I sat.

'He's sleeping, he's not an early riser.'

'Oh, yeah, I see.'

'Say, hyung, what brings you here?'

I noticed Minki's face shadowed, something's really off.

'So what's it? Hyung?'

'A few days back I got a call from HIM', Minki continued in a whisper, ' Jeonghan, this time he sounded serious, he can do anything for your wealth, he said that he will destroy every thing you have until he gets what he want.'

'What the hell!? This sounds like a dialogue from a mafia-drama', I smiled at Minki.

Minki's expressed disbelief, he said,' Listen, Jeonghan, if it wasn't serious I wouldn't have come all the way here, okay, so-'

' Hyung, hyung, stop worrying, I have recieved so many threats even death threats but see, I'm still in one piece.'

Minki released a sigh and said, ' Yeah, hope for the best. I'm going for a nap.'

'Ok, see you.'

Minki got up from the chair and approached the door. When he was a about to turn the knob, he looked at Joshua who still had his buried in the files and then rested his gaze on me and said, ' He knows about Joshua too', and left the room.

After Minki left, Joshua looked at me and then asked, ' Who knows about me?'

' No one.'

I released a sigh and sank in my chair, with my head buried in my hands, I thought-

Seriously, that boy...father didn't leave anything behind. How the hell am I supposed to handle him?
Minki hyung, it's natural for him to worry...but

I looked at Joshua.

Will I be able to protect Joshua from my step brother who caused slaughters one after another?...........
