Minghao's POV:

Releasing a sigh, I opened the door. The person I saw standing on the threshold of my house was none other than the current CEO - Kim Mingyu.

'Hey, how are you?', Mingyu asked me as he walked past me and threw his coat on the hanger beside the main door. 'I see, Jun's here.', he continued eyeing the coat beside his.

'I'm very fine, yes Junhui's here. So is Jeonghan's P.A...you tell me, why here all of a sudden?'

'Can't I visit you?'

'Yes, but- never mind. Let's go upstairs.'

Mingyu followed me upstairs into my study where we were talking earlier.

'Junhui~ long time no see. How are you? Are the guns I asked for came into stock?'

'Yes they did. Take it from my home later', Junhui said, smiling.

'Eh?Never mind, Joshua this is Kim Mingyu, the acting CEO currently and Mingyu, this is Joshua Hong, Jeonghan's Personal Assistant.'

'Nice to meet you, Mr. Mingyu', Joshua brought his hand forward.

Shaking it, Mingyu said,' Just Mingyu. Pleasure to meet you too!'

'So...what were you guys talking about before I came?' Mingyu started, settling himself beside Joshua on the sofa.

'We were talking about Joshua's accent. Mingyu, isn't it different from the natives?', Junhui said.

'Joshua, tell us your story, your eyes are hiding a very tragic past. Don't worry your secret is safe with us', Mingyu assured.

'It's not a secret, it's just that I-I never talked about it to anyone else',Joshua hesitated.

'So you really hid something, spill it out. It may help you to feel lighten.'

Joshua's POV:

I released a sigh and started my story,' I was a gardener's son and was raised by my father's master in a huge mansion. The man who my father worked for had a boy, same age as mine. The master there was kind enough to let us play together, eat together and study together. The boy and I literally grew up together, the master also had an assistant who used to play with us in his free time.'
' But when we were at the age of twelve...a huge fire suddenly started and burnt the whole place down to ashes, only survivors of that fire was I, the boy and the boy's father's assistant. We made it out and lived for some weeks in the assistant's house, but it was becoming difficult for him to handle both of us, not that we didn't listen to him, it was because of our career and future. So, he gave me away to a foster family...that was the last time I saw that boy with whom I spent my childhood. My new family were British and gave me the name-Joshua, they took care of me as their own son...but...since the separation there's always been a hole in me which never got filled...'

I felt tears trickling down my cheeks, my hands buried my face in them. Minghao rested his hand on my shoulder as I calmed down.

'It's fine now, right? We all are here for you. You can look up to us and you got Jeonghan, he's the best. So cheer up!', Minghao said, smiling.

'Eww~Minghao, that's a cringe!', Junhui stated.

'What else should I say?! Just wait , you're gonna get yourself smacked in our face!'

'Woah, guys stop fighting', Mingyu said, waving his hand.

I laughed seeing them and felt my heart lighten a bit.
