plot: Y/n, Tanaka and Nishinoya are really close friends, and at the end of a rainy day, they need to share a little umbrella to go home after school. The only thing they weren't expecting was bumping with Tsukishima, the grumpiest student in school.

Clean duties were awful. So awful that you would always complete them alone, your two best friends having no mercy in your poor soul. Tanaka and Nishinoya were standing clumsily, leaning their bodies in the classroom window, seeing which raindrop would reach the bottom first, when you finally finished cleaning the tables.

Ryu! Nishi! I'm finished here! — You smiled brightly, reaching out for your backpack.

The boys quickly got their things and gave you a high-five.

Nice, (Y/N). We should buy you a popsicle to show our thanks! — Tanaka reached out for the doorknob.

Hm, maybe another time. The weather is terrible, I just want to go home. — You stuck your tongue out.

You always appreciated rainy days, sure, but being in the middle of the rain like that wasn't your thing. Not since you have to share your tiny umbrella with your two idiots best friends that you love so much.

Out of the school building, you opened your umbrella, with Noya and Tanaka in the back and you in the front, leaving your graceless self to lead the way. Nishinoya kept trying to pull Ryu out of the umbrella, being loud and noisy as always, causing you to laugh hard. These moments were precious, so precious you couldn't even pay attention to your surroundings. Until... It was too late.

Something suddenly blocked your vision, and you felt a tall and nicely built figure against your own body and a soft "Oof". With widened eyes, you looked up, seeing the blonde hair and golden eyes you knew way too well. Your mouth dropped open, abruptly making Nishinoya and Tanaka shut up. The atmosphere went dark when you made eye contact with the salty blonde.

Do you ever look when walking, Pipsqueak? — Tsukishima rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed.

What could you say? It's not like he deserved an apology since Kei kept treating you like trash since you joined the volleyball club as a second manager. You couldn't understand, and trust me, you tried. So why can't your feelings go away? Why does your face flush every time he looks at you, every time his lips form into that mischievous smirk?

I... Wasn't paying attention. I wouldn't dream of bumping into you otherwise. — You said, with a small scoff.

And that's when you noticed... Tsukishima was out in the rain without an umbrella, completely soaked in his practice shirt. You sighed. As much as his company made you delighted, leaving the poor boy out there would probably make him sick, which means he wouldn't be able to make into the volleyball practice. Just like that, you decided to offer him a place in your umbrella. You guys were neighbors, so it wasn't a burden anyway.

Get in here, Tsukishima-Kun. I'll escort you home. — Noya and Ryu exchanged excited glances, as they were the only ones who knew your true feelings towards the blonde.

"Escort" me? — He let a small giggle out. Adorable. — Like I need someone like you to escort me home.

You rolled your eyes, tired of that superior attitude he insisted on giving you. Could he ever change? Did he... Meant his words? You pulled his arm, bringing him inside of the umbrella, making the male widen his eyes because of your boldness. He wasn't expecting you to fight him back.

Last time I check you do need me, Stingyshima. And be grateful I'm feeling generous today.

Tsukishima wasn't in the position to complain, since he needed help. But was he ever going to tell you that? Not really. When both of you started walking, everyone went quiet. You would glance at the male trying to be sneaky, just to see him looking right at you. Your cheeks burned slightly, making Tsukishima giggle silently.

Halfway from your house Nishinoya and Tanaka excused themselves since they reached their bus stop. Before you could go out with the blonde, your friends stared at you without a single word, but somehow you knew what they meant. "Do a move today", their expressions could be easily read. You nodded quickly before saying your goodbyes. And then it was just you and him, alone in the dark.

Both of you kept the silence. Tsukishima's soaked clothes making contact with your bare arms, making you somewhat flustered. You had so many questions, so many things you wanted to know about the mysterious male right by your side, but the only thing that got out of your mouth was a shy:

W-Were you practicing late today? — The blonde glanced your way, seeing how nervous you were.

That's not what you wanted to ask. — He answered, emotionless.

"Am I that easy to read?", you thought to yourself. Perhaps Tsukishima paid more attention to you than you thought.

Why are you so mean to me? — The words came out without you even thinking. A surprised whimper left your rosy lips.

The blonde sighed. He knew the exact answer, but was he willing to tell you the real reason? Tsukishima was always rude or offensive to everyone, that's not any news, but it just looks like he... Targets you, somehow. The nicknames, the attempts to catch your attention with rude remarks, everything.

You sure you want to know, Pipsqueak? — He asked, concerned.

Looking up at the tall male, you gave a small nod. All at once, anxiety hit you like a truck. What if he hated you? What if he meant all of his rude comments? What if you offended him, somehow? Staring into your feet, deep in thought, a pair of slender fingers delicately grabbed your chin. Tsukishima forced you to look at him, his eyes shining in the beautiful moonlight.

And it all happened so fast. Out of nowhere his lips locked with yours, bringing you to abruptly drop the umbrella in the street. Your hand made its way into his blonde, alluring hair, and nothing mattered anymore, not even the fact that both of you were getting wet with the rain.

Too quick for your liking the male backed away, with a gentle smile in his face. Without a single word, Tsukishima started walking, and looking at your surroundings you noticed; You're home already.

An excited giggle left your lips. Kei liked you too, in his odd way.
