The next day went by, Tendou was once again forced by Goshiki to get up and go to school even though he didn't feel like it. His eyes were swollen from crying, his heart feeling like a big weight in his chest and his legs feeling too weak to walk.

He wasn't excited at all to hear Ushijima brag about his perfect date he'd have on Saturday. Tendou only hoped for the worst but still hoped that Ushijima wouldn't get hurt. The last thing he also wanted was to see his best friend sad.

Once they got to school, Tendou walked up to his own place, ignoring Ushijima who already waited for him. Ushijima though, got up with a confused look on his face, "Tendou is something wrong? I don't recall you being sad about something to ignore me like that"

"Ushijima sometimes people just need time for themselves," the red head explained softly with a sigh, "but I heard you got your date? That's great"

"Yes we'll have it on Saturday," Ushijima nodded, "good that Goshiki told you about it. Didn't know you were with him again?" Somehow Ushijimas heart felt weird at the thought of Tendou doing something without telling him, like he normally did. As if he'd try to avoid him on purpose. But Ushijima couldn't tell why his heart hurt from that.

"Yes, I was," Tendou smiled weakly, "we studied for a test, he asked me after training, because he didn't get some things!"

"Interesting," a nod came once again from the bold boy, "maybe inform me next time again?"

"Why?" Now it was Tendou who was confused.

"Because I care about you and I want to know where you are," Ushijima explained as if it was self explanatory.

"Toshi I do not have to tell you everything I do, if I want to spend time with Goshiki I'll do that!" Tendou hissed at his best friend who suddenly had a surprised look on his face. Tendou never got angry, especially not at Ushijima.

"Tendou I'm sorry if I did something that hurt you, but," he got cut off. Tendou jumped up from his chair, his hands slamming on the school table so he'd come Ushijima more near, "listen big guy. I am indeed hurt, but I really need my space right now to think about it. I'm happy for you and your date. What do you want me to do about it?"

"I want us to be like before again," Ushijima only said in his stiff voice.

Tendou sighed, his gaze softening again as he fell back into his chair again, "we can't"

"Why not?"

"It's complicated, I don't want to get in your way with it right now. Take your seat please, the teacher will come in a few minutes."

Ushijima noticed how broken Tendou sounded. He decided to say nothing more and just go back to his seat. With that the teacher came a few minutes later to begin their lesson. Ushijima looked over at Tendou for a few times who sat one row in front of him. A sad gaze was on his face, his fingers twirling and him not paying attention at all to what the teacher was saying. Was it because of Oikawas and his date? Why would it be? Was he jealous?

No matter how long Ushijima thought about it, he wasn't able to get to a conclusion. The break came and he ran to Goshiki, who greeted him with a big smile.

"Hey Ushijima-san!! How are you??"

"It's okay, Goshiki I got a question,"

"What is it?" Goshiki cocked his head in confusion. Ushijima seemed different from usual.

"It's about Tendou. He's mad at me but I can't figure out why. It's because of me and Oikawa isn't it?"

Goshikis eyes got big and he shook his head, "sorry, I'm not allowed to tell.."

"Goshiki please. Just nod or shake your head then. Is it because of my date?" Ushijima sound lost. Lost in the situation, because he didn't want his best friend to be so sad anymore. His heart aches and he didn't want this feeling anymore.

It was quiet, only a sigh coming from Goshiki as he slowly nodded.

"That's all I'll say. Figure the rest out by yourself. Tendou trusts me and I won't destroy that," he sighed, then leaving Ushijima alone in the school floor.

Ushijima sighed. So it was because of his date. Does that mean Tendou has feelings for him? Or does he just not like Oikawa?
