Putting on her shoes, she stood up and grabbed the handle of the door. Checking once more to make sure she had everything, she threw open the door and stepped outside. It was cold, seeing as the sun was setting and almost gone already.

With a brisk pace, she made her way over to the park and took a seat on one of the benches. It's cold.

She shoved her hands in the pockets on her jacket, slumping in her seat to get comfortable. She placed one leg over the other and sighed. Where's this thot? It's almost 8:10 already.

Humming quietly, she pulled out her phone and texted the male who had yet to text her.

if u stand me up, i'll go marry your brother
or even better, your mom 😌

Turning off her phone, she leaned her head back and looked up at the stars. Her brown eyes scanned the sky, taking in the litter scenery of baby stars that shined so brightly. With the cold temperature and the calming scenery, you couldn't blame her for accidentally falling asleep.

Upon feeling a strong breeze whizz past her, Hotaru slowly peeled her eyes open. Looking around, she realized she was still sat on the bench in the park. Hotaru jumped when she saw the male sitting beside her, slumped in his seat with his arms crossed over his chest. "A-Ah, I fell asleep. Sorry."

"No," Tsukishima sat up, clenching his teeth when a breeze ran past them. Curtly, he mumbled, "It's fine."

Checking the time, her eyes slightly widened. "It's almost 10. Holy shit. When did you get here?"

"Not too long ago." Tsukishima muttered, a subconscious shiver running down his spine. "I couldn't slip away when practice ended, so I had to wait till everyone went to shower."

Hotaru looked down, noticing the jacket that was draped over her body. It was strangely warm beneath the jacket, letting her know that he didn't arrive 'not too long ago' but had been here for awhile. Geez. And he's shivering.

"Don't be an idiot, Tsukishima. Put your coat on." Hotaru said as she shoved his jacket in his direction. The male turned away, refusing to take it. "Tsukishima."

"No, it's fine."

Raising an arm, she swung and slapped his shoulder extra hard. When he helped, she shoved his jacket into his chest. "Don't be an idiot, Kei! Stop being stubborn and put your jacket on before you catch a cold!"

The male looked at her with such a flat look before reluctantly slipping on the jacket and zipping it up.

"This is so awkward, so let's just get straight to it." Hotaru murmured, noticing how close they were; the sides of their bodies pressed together for warmth. "Uhh......yeah I don't know what to say."

"I got yelled at," Tsukishima started, catching Hotaru's attention. "By Yamaguchi."

She gasped lightly, "Oh my gosh, is my baby boy growing up? Yes."

Usually, Tsukishima would've shot her a flat look but he simply looked at his hands. "He told me to stop messing around with you if I wasn't serious."

Everything Tsukishima was saying was true. Yamaguchi had found him outside the gym and yelled at him for the first time about volleyball and Hotaru. "What more do you need than pride?" Yamaguchi screamed, huffing and puffing from his furious state, clutching a part of Tsukishima's collar in his fist. "If you're gonna go after Hotaru-chan, quit messing with her and be upfront! You'll just hurt her again if you keep this up!"
