NEXT DAY
Gabriela's pov
I was walking down the hall, heading to my room, with a smile on my face. Today was just my day, and after having done my only duty, as talking down the bitch during breakfast time, igniting him against her more, I needed to relax a little.
That was also why I told the bitch to prepare me a bath after breakfast, telling her extra to use my lemon oils and scents after seeing her hands. I knew what he did to her yesterday, I saw him walking into her room with a lemon. Then, I heard her screams echoing in the hall, calming my inner self down, as my plan, making him hate her more, was going smoothly.
Humming, I wanted to walk into my room when a hand wrapped itself around my throat, taking me off guard, before my back made contact with the wall next to me.
Terrified, I looked into two dark orbs. "I told you not to stick your fucking nose into my business," he hissed at me as I coughed, looking at him confused, wondering what exactly he meant, and for a second I was really feeling anxious, thinking he found out about my little plan, until he said, "I know you told Esmeralda about Alessandro's disappearance!" He slammed his other hand next to my head, making me jerk in fear, before letting go of me.
"I did!" I confirmed, coughing, massaging my throat, "Because she deserves to know her husband's situation! It's her right!" And her awareness of this situation was to my advantage!
She'd put pressure on him, question him, resulting in him going harder on Evelina, until killing her, erasing the last trace and witness of his brother, and then, then we could kill Alessandro. We'd hit two birds with one stone, we'd get rid of his brother and put all the blame on her, sliding out of this crime we planned to commit without any consequences.
"Who the fuck are you kidding? You never cared for my family, and now you do?" he asked me, huffing. "I try to be a better person," I argued, looking at him hurt.
"Well, try it without sticking your nose in my business! Stay. Away. From. My. Business. Understood?" he asked me, looking at me warningly. "Alright!" I agreed, massaging my throat.
"Good," he said blankly, walking away. "I'll fuck you and your business over!" I muttered, watching him leave, before continuing to walk to my room.
Now, I really needed a hot bath after dealing with him and his anger issues in the morning.
Calina's pov
Breathe!
Be strong!
Don't give up!
Those were the three demands I was giving myself since I had opened my eyes this morning after surviving another night of torture, or how Raphael liked to call them: Interrogation sessions.
Knowing what was expecting me every night I couldn't even walk peacefully into my room, and the worst part was I knew there was no escape from him, yet, I knew I had to walk into this room, knowing he was there.
Last night he poured a lemon in my injured head, making me scream in agony, I felt like my hand was getting amputated.
And smirking, he continued his lemon torture on me for hours, asking me the same question yet over and over again, even after realizing he ain't get what he wanted to hear from me: The name of the dealer I lied about, the secret he was eager to get out of me, knowing I was hiding something.
But no matter how he tortured me, I couldn't give up and tell him who I was, because the price wouldn't be only my freedom, but also my brother's live as he had helped me escape the Mafia.
