Petra, Lukas, Jesse, Romeo, Jack, and Nurm arrived at the End portal... an endless black hole in the ground that was full of hundreds of glowing light blue stars. The portal was in an underground cave and the stars in the portal gave off a soft blue light that lit up the dark caverns.
"Well, this is it. The End portal," Jack announced.
"I've actually never been through an End portal before," Romeo commented.
Petra, Lukas, Jesse, Jack, and Nurm stared at him. Romeo used to smile with glee when people stared at him, but now he shrunk under their gazes.
"Wait, you've seriously never been to the End?" Petra asked.
"I've been to the End, but I've never used a portal to get there... I always teleported," Romeo explained. Lukas adjusted his goggles.
"Just to warn you, travelling through an End portal is not fun. I don't want to make you too nervous ahead of time so I won't tell you exactly what it's like, but you'll find out when you jump into the portal," Lukas informed.
"Mission failed, Lukas. I'm nervous. If you felt that you had to warn me ahead of time, going through that portal is going to be excruciating, terrifying, or both," Romeo thought.
But he would never say those thoughts out loud. Everyone would think he was a loser if he admitted to being afraid.
"I bet it's not that bad," Romeo answered. He tried to force a confident grin.
"Wow. You're a terrible liar, Romeo. You don't have to be so insecure about what other people think. You're scared, that's fine, we get it," Petra responded. Romeo dropped his fake grin.
"Okay, you want my honest answer? I'm worried going through the End portal is going to be painful," Romeo sighed.
"It's not painful. You just get really nauseous and it's a bit unnerving the first time, but you'll get used to it," Lukas assured. He raised an eyebrow. "Why did you think it was going to be painful?" Lukas questioned.
"Well, I thought if you don't dodge the stars in the portal they could end up burning your skin off... giving you a slow and fiery death," Romeo explained. Lukas winced and then let out a sigh.
"I can promise that none of that... really painful-sounding stuff will happen when you go through an End portal," Lukas said.
"We're all going to jump through the portal together, okay?" Jesse decided. Romeo, Lukas, Petra, Jack, and Nurm nodded and they- along with Jesse- jumped into the portal together.
Romeo screamed as he plummeted down the portal. He looked for Jesse, Petra, Lukas, Jack, and Nurm to make sure that they were all right, but he could see nothing but light blue stars and inky black sky. Unfortunately he also couldn't see where the bottom of the portal was... the starry black abyss of the portal appeared to be endless.
Romeo frantically searched for something- anything- to grab to slow down the fall. Now that he wasn't an Admin anymore, he could take fall damage... which meant he could die from a fall. And that thought was absolutely terrifying.
He clawed at the air, but there was nothing to hold onto. The speed of the drop made his stomach twist into knots.
In the blink of an eye, the black abyss and light blue stars were gone and Romeo was falling into an End stone chamber with an obsidian floor.
Jesse fell face first on the floor. Petra landed on her feet, but tripped and accidentally somersaulted into the End stone wall, which caused her to fall on her face. Nurm fell on his back. Lukas managed to land on his feet, only for Romeo to make his landing behind Lukas and plow straight into him, which then resulted in Lukas getting knocked over like a domino and Romeo falling on top of him.
