Epilogue

Epilogue: It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday!

    *A few days later, at Newark Penn Station*

Joshua: “So you’re leaving huh?”

Kandaci: “Yeah”

Joshua: “I wish that I could go with you”

Kandaci: “Me too, but this is a bit personal than I realized”

Joshua: “You know that if you ever need me, all you have to do is call”

Kandaci: “I know Josh, thanks. Besides, I have some backup; I’m bringing some of the people who were captured by Vaan. They want revenge on him, so I’ll train them how to use their powers. And just think of it, an army of them is more than enough!”

Joshua: “I agree”

                                          Kandaci’s train arrived

Kandaci: “Well…I have to go”

Joshua: “Bye”

                   Joshua and Kandaci hugged, but when they broke off, Kandaci looked disappointed. She wanted more than a hug. Joshua walked away, and Kandaci boarded the train. Joshua paused and stopped walking, he turned around

Joshua: “Kandaci”

Kandaci: “Huh?”

Joshua: “One last thing”

         Joshua walked over to her at fast pace, he pushed her against the metal bars and kissed her. After a long wait, he finally kissed and the lip action was intense. When they broke off, Kandaci bit his bottom lip; he received a little static shock from her

Kandaci: “*Huge smile* Sorry”

Joshua: “Meow! I knew you were a freak”

                         The conductor came to the back of the train

Conductor: “I’m sorry sir but you have to exit the train, you don’t have a ticket”

Joshua: “OK *turns to Kandaci* Safe travels”

Kandaci: “OK…”

                   As Joshua left the train, he tried to hold on to Kandaci’s hand as long as he could, but the grip was released. And as the doors closed, water filled her eyes, and water filled his eyes as well. Tears rolled down Kandaci’s face as she waved goodbye because she knew that she wasn’t coming back anytime soon. Joshua’s skin glowed; he unlocked his Power Mimicry ability. He put his hand on his lip, he already missed the feeling and taste of Kandaci’s lips. Joshua wiped his tears and left the subway, DaShawn was waiting for him on the street level

DaShawn: “You did it didn’t you”

Joshua: “You don’t even have to ask”

DaShawn: “*Shakes his hands* Ayyeee! That’s my boy!”

Joshua: “*Laughs* You’ve opened up”

DaShawn: “Yeah well I have a family of friends now”

Joshua: “True”

DaShawn: “Hey I heard that we have some new members”

Joshua: “Let’s go see them, but first let’s go to McDonald’s”

DaShawn: “A Quarter Pounder with cheese and 20 pc. Chicken Nuggets?”

Joshua: “You know it!”

          Joshua and DaShawn went to McDonald’s; they also met up with Will on the way there, and Joshua thought of Kandaci as they traveled. She was thinking about him as she stared out of the window, but that wasn’t the only person thinking about him. The Hispanic women stared at Kandaci and her eyes turned pink.
