Hallways

Our worlds often collide at the two walled hallways. Sometimes, the universe would be kind and clears the space just the two of us. Most of the time, the hallways are crowded and there is nothing I can do but use my orbs to catch your attention.

The chatters and waves of laughter were the music of my illusion. Wherein I see the two of us walking through it, side by side, holding hands and talking about things that aren't academically inclined. We belonged to the same room, the four-walled structure witnessing our daily struggles. But, I guess that's the only place where the two of us mutually belong.

I wasn't meant for you and neither are you to me. We never belonged to each other. We collide, every time we pass through that hallway, but our hearts never did, never will, and never shall.
