Chapter 14: Shelby. 'We should head off now'
Contains mild sex scene
3 years ago"You'd look so much prettier if you let your hair grew Shelb" Megan said, twirling my short blonde hair around on her slender, perfectly manicured fingers.
I lifted my head so that I could meet Megans ice blue eyes in the reflection of the mirror. I had only been at St. Peters for a couple of weeks, I still got nervous around most people but to my surprise, Megan the most well known girl had taken me under her wing. At first, she scared me, well, she still does. I have never seen someone live such an extravagant lifestyle before, and this is coming from a girl who attends the most elite school in the area.
"I dont know. Maybe" I said, blushing slightly. I had ever quite outgrown my shy phase when growing up. Despite my mother constantly telling me that I had no reasson to be shy, I couldnt help to blush at any compliment given to me especially when it came from someone like Megan.
"Hey. Dont do that. You'd look hot with long hair"Megan said, freezing me with the intensity in her eyes.
"Yeah I guess I would" I said, smiling slightly of at least trying too.
"So..." she said, taking a deep breathe, before plastering a perfect smile on her perfect face. "I heard Danny speaking about you today" she said while continuing to play with my hair. "He seems pretty pussy whipped over you" she said, rolling her eyes as if the thought of being smitten over someone revolted her.
I blushed at her choice of words before answering-
"I dont know who that is" trying to recall if I had meet anyone of that name.
"Well, I dont blame you, hes easily forgettable" she shrugged. "So is there anyone who you do like?" She asked whilst bitting her lip.
"Oh well, um-" I could already feel myself starting to blush uncontrollably and I hadnt even said his name, I felt my eyes start to hurt because of how much I was smiling at his memory. "There is this one guy" I said sheepishly.
"Let me guess..." she said, putting her hand on her chin and pretending to think. "This guy wouldnt happen to dress like hes going on the run way and take a year to say a sentence by any chance would he?" She said, smirking.
"How did you know?" I said, snapping my head around to her.
"Isn't hard to guess, every girl likes him" she said in an unimpressed tone.
"But not you?"I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No. Not me" she said sternly. "Anyway, if you do insist on going for Styles there's some things you should now. One, the forgettable Danny we were talking about earlier happens to be his best friend. Two, from what I can tell, good girls don't really seem to be his type. And finally, he's not exactly a relationship kind of guy"
