khia-marie

tia and omar were in the front of her car, while me and sharife was in the back. he was real quite. i open my phone and was scrolling through twitter and i felt eyes on me. i looked up and it was sharife.. again.

i wanted to start conversation, "yes?" i said while looking up at him. "my fault." he said quickly tensed. his accent was THICK. i chuckled. "it's fine, sharife or omar?" i asked. i knew which one he was, i just wanted to talk i guess. "sharife, marie right?" he said a little less tense. "actually it's khia marie, but either way is fine." i tell him.

i examined what he was wearing a black hoodie and some tight ass black jeans. he was also wearing unc patent 1's like i was. "oh my bad." he said. "you apologize a lot." i said chuckling.

"i'm sor-" he cut himself off. "what are y'all talking about?" tia asked. we didn't say anything, cause we really weren't talking about anything. "sharife stop being so damn shy." she said as we turned into a neighborhood. "right, you think she's pretty, don't you?" i hear omar said.

i looked down at my phone getting hot."i'm not shy." he said speaking up. his accent is just the cherry on top, cause whew. "oo now you wanna talk." she said pulling up into a neighborhood. "i was already talking." he said scoffing. "i don't know who you got an attitude with but it's not me." she said. "ion got no damn attitude tia."

i laughed at them going back and forth. sharife turned around and looked at me and gave me a playful side eye. "ok we're here." tia said. i looked away from him and smiled. i stopped myself as soon as i realized i was smiling.

i got out the car and fixed my pants snd shirt. "you look fine now let's go." i groaned, and i followed behind her. she walked with omar as sharife walked beside me. you can hear this music blasting. i scrunch up my face to my ear drums beating.

we entered the house and tia dragged me to the kitchen leaving the boys behind. "slow down, i'm right here." she let go of me. she leads me to a group of girls. soon i realize that it's the volleyball team. "hey khia." they said in unison. "hey." i said smiling. "i wouldn't have thought you'd come." i think her name was kayla.

"i didn't know i was coming until half an hour ago." i said looking at tia. she just fanned me off. "whatever." she said playfully. "so it's only y'all two that came?" kayla asked. everyone else walked away. "nah i brought the twins, they over there somewhere." her face lit up. "oo sharife here?" i raised my eyebrows but i immediately put them down.

"girl sharife don't want your ass no more." tia said fanned her off. "girl yes he do." kayla said fixing her bra and shirt, so you can see her cleavage. i scrunched up my face a lil. "you cheated on him thoug- nevermind ms. girl, you do you." tia said holding my hand and taking me with her, leaving kayla there.

"she's a mess." tia said rolling her eyes. "i can tell." we grabbed drinks. i grabbed water and she grabbed whatever alcohol she saw. i gave her a look. "what it's only one." i shrugged. we walked back over to sharife and omar sitting down on a couch. tia sat on omar's lap and they started kissing. i guess they were dating.

sharife is so quiet sheesh. he just sitting there looking at people. "you sure you not shy?" i ask jokingly. he looked up. he slightly smiled. "i'm not." he said. "mhm." i hummed. "i don't know, people are just weird."he said trying to explain why he isn't shy. "excuses excuses." i said sitting down. "last time i went to a party, someone said that i got her pregnant." he said casually. i started laughing.

"it's not funny, she had me actually questioning myself." he said shaking his head. i just kept on laughing. "you only talked to tia and i'm shy?" he said trying to turn it around on me. "incorrect, and at least i'm not sitting down looking depressed." i said. "man whatever, i am not depressed. i'm just bored." he said sitting up, i can tell he's not really acting shy anymore. "we just got here, and you ready to dip?" i raised my eyebrows. he shrugged.
